The Only Square in My Life That Doesnât Let Me Down or Talk Back
This VNW CNC-machined aluminum set is highly reliable, well-built, and ready for years of DIY use. It is quite rugged and perfect for refinishing furniture, wainscoting, and various DIY projects. The markings are easy to read, as they are laser-etched and scaled well for quick visual reference. The design is well thought out. The 7-inch rafter square doubles as a protractor and saw guide, while the 12-inch combo square features a bubble level, depth scraper, and a smooth sliding head. These tools are built to last through refinishing projects and are not just a junk drawer purchase.Iâve used more measuring tools than I can count, and everything about this set feels right in your hand. The 12-inch square glides easily and locks into place. While it could benefit from deeper notch lines for more specific scribing, it will more than suffice for 95% of DIY home projects. Iâve paid more for far less. This one earns a permanent spot on my workbench. Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Very impressive Square Set
Iâve reviewed a bunch of measuring tools, but this combination square and rafter square are some of the best Iâve encountered. They are pro-quality measuring tools.The well-designed combination square is a top-notch tool, manufactured with high-quality materials, like a stainless steel blade and a brass screw for the scribe. The good-sized square head has been well machined with smooth edges and an excellent anodized finish. I like the large locking nut and the large easy-to-see magnified level. The bladeâs engraved scale markings are distinct and easy to see. The bladeâs position is easily adjustable. The square feels good and solid in the hand.I also like the dual metric and inch scales on both sides of the blade. The inch scale on one side of the blade is marked in 1/32â and the other side is marked in 1/16â. Itâs interesting that the 1/16â scale increases from right to left rather than the traditional method of left to right(see attached photos). I can see that this different method could be very useful for some applications.The rafters/carpenter square is also top-notch. The square is substantial with a thick body and a nearly 1â wide fence. The body has been well machined with very clear, distinct white-on-black scale markings. The powder coating is excellent with a smooth finish. Although the square is relatively heavy, it feels good and solid in the hand.Compared to other available rafter squares, this one has an abundance of scales. Also, there are indents for many of the scaleâs graduations, which makes it very easy to mark a measurement.Very highly recommended!

Phenomenal for the price
Compared to what some of the measuring tools that are just about identical to this set cost, this is a huge bargain. These tools are build solid out of a good gauge of sturdy metal. They are easy to use and if you are not familiar with them, there are tons of videos on social media on how to use them. The size of the tools in this set is good for me, as I already own much bigger ones. The markings on these are well done and they are very easy to read. Moving parts move freely but don’t feel slacky and that makes greater speed and efficiency when using these tools. At the price, these tools are really well made.
