Great for diy friction savers
I bought this to make my own friction savers for climbing. The sizes of the two rings are perfect for this, as the large ring allows the throw bag to pass through, but the small ring does not. The ring style is not sensitive to cross-loading, so it’s perfect for this type of application. After this purchase, I bought a 4 pack of large and small rings from this manufacturer to make more.

Solid, but not 40 kN as shown in the pictures
It’s a solid ring. However, I noticed the pictures by the company here on Amazon show the larger ring is 40 kN but the larger ring is the standard 25 kN. (You can notice in other customer review photos they were sent a 25 kN large ring as well.)

I bought two sets. I will use them when hammocking.Pictured in the description is a device rated at 40kN. The text describes the larger ring as rated at 40kN.What I got was â as you can see – twenty five kN & twenty two kN.So I have two big golden ones and two small reddish ones.Nasty fake-out! Misrepresentation. No, not everything that comes from China is bogus, nor slightly toxic, nor made with âchinesiumâ, nor sized to a smaller scale, nor with missing pieces.This does seem rather blatant, though.Regardless, for hammock use these will do fine.
