Game changer!
I got as a gift and love them. These are my go to when building my Gundam kits. Perfect cut and have little clean up. Cannot beat the price bought a pair for my son in-law and he says it’s a game changer

Best nippers for hobbiest
Hands down the best nippers I have ever used. Sharp, smooth cuts, precise, affordable, perfect size, thin but strong, good grip and just great in general.

Finally Got a Model Kit Nipper Tool
I gotta say I’m impressed with the fact the seller message me via email about how to take care of this cool looking nipper! If you’re into anything with anime/manga characters on the box and are into assembling model kits, these are for you.I’ve used nippers meant for the nails for three of the non gunpla model kits and they are ok.The grips are comfortable and nice to touch. It comes with a cool looking pouch case to sheath the nippers in. The case itself is magnetic lock and is easy to open.It is light-weight like any other nippers and easy to use too. There are other model kits out there for most less and much more than this. And there are those with “collabs” or even aimed with certain “famous” anime/manga characters that aren’t officially licensed. But for me, its worth it.

So happy with these
So glad I got these. They are very very sharp, and leave very little material on the parts. Sometimes I didnât even need to sand. A must have tool for your Gunpla builds.Iâm new to the hobby, but could immediately tell I bought the right tool.

3.0 not a big improvement and maybe even worse
iâll preface with saying i own or have owned nearly every single bladed nipper sold for modeling. i also own two sets of the purple handled Rui Tool 1.0 and my son owns a pair as well. we love them and they are my go to when i need a consistently smooth cut that i plan to clean up and doesnât need to be perfect. the godhands sit unused until the cut is worth it. i built 27 bandai/kotobukiya models last year and i am a machinist/toolmaker by trade.i was pretty over testing nippers with the 1.0 as itâs cost and performance make it a no brained but saw the 3.0 pop up with promises of hand polishing and better fit and finish. the first pair arrived and right off the bat i was impressed the box was so nice. a color printed cardstock box surrounds a hard plastic case with a cheap vacuum molded and felted insert designed to hold the tool but when i looked the tool was loose and the blades were jammed into the corner (see pics as both of the 3.0 arrived like this, the insert is useless as is the box with a useless insert) this point will return later.immediately i saw the blades were not aligned as the picture shows. this appears to be warping from the heat treating used to harden the blade. itâs not bent from being loose in the box, blades this hard do not bend, they shatter. this came off the factory line and was put into that crappy box and sent to america and yeah thatâs pretty awful quality control. this is not what iâve come to expect from Rui Tool after three perfect 1.0 nippers purchased from three different vendors. i decided to try a cut and see how the blade cut and it mangled the piece. worse cut iâve ever seen, even worse than harbor freight wire nippers. these also had ton of black oil in the hinge with fine metal filings leftover from the grinding. shameful. i set up a return.now the second pair arrived and besides the loose in the crappy box issue these appeared nicer all around. less oil, and that oil was cleaner. blades align well enough but not as well as my 1.0 or my godhand or my P.I.T. which are my third favorite (theyâd be #1 but weak joint leads to slip after a couple months, an issue none of the Rui 1.0 have had)the cut is pretty close to the 1.0 maybe a little more crushing/flattening on the anvil side of the tool. effort wise the 3.0 are much nicer to use than anything i have besides godhands. they cut like there is air and not plastic between the blade and anvil. itâs really, really nice feeling. grind/polish is similar to 1.0 with deeper tool marks from grinding but cleaner edges with less burrs. the 1.0 has a pretty ragged cutting edge and especially the heel edge of the blade which has a large rolled burr. despite those flaws the 1.0 still cut as good or better. both leave fine linear grooves while cutting as seen in nub pics. note there are no white spots on the food cuts, that is all glare from light angle used to highlight the tool marks left on the plastic.1.0 and 3.0 have nearly identical shape/size and both came with snap covers for blade and cleaning cloth and all the individual units iâve received have been pre set to close without being able to go too far and needed no adjustment (canât say that about godhand, dspiae or usa gundam store nippers i received)given the quality of the 1.0 iâve personally used and the issues with the 3.0 i feel that until qc gets sorted and a real foam insert that cushions and holds the tool during shipping and storage is included that the nearly 2x cost does not justify buying 3.0 over the 1.0. frankly there are some darn good nippers for 5$ more but you can put the 5$ towards a second pair of 1.0 and have a sharp pair of backup nippers. i wish Rui had put more $ into the tool and nothing into the case and insert and charged 27$ it would be a whole lot better and an actual improvement over the 1.0 which do have a slightly loose hinge now 14 hg/rg models later (no where as bad a hinge as my P.I.T. after same number and worlds better than the Steadi ones that cost more than all these and came brand new loose as chopsticks)i rarely return things and iâve kept all the nippers iâve bought except the usa gundam store ones (dull, difficult cut), the dspiae (crushed the plastic during cut leaving white marks) and the loose as heck steadi ones but i think iâll return these after just a few cuts as they do not live up to the promises in the description Rui posted and the extra cost over the 1.0i was really hoping these would be a serious contender and it does show clear signs it is made a little differently than the other clones out there with a slightly different grind and shape to the anvil. almost every other âbrandâ is identical except for engraving and handle color. Rui had set themselves apart from the others with an absolute bargain (careful shopping can get a pair of 1.0 for less than Bandai double bladed entry nippers !!!!!!) but despite some obvious design improvements the execution of the blades polish make this feels like a step backwards and unfortunately closer towards the mediocrity and cost of the typical godhand clones that can be found with every hobby shop and never heard of tool brandâs logo laser engraved on the side.a note on blade/anvil rear edge alignment for those seeing the pics and thinking these look off : the blade and anvil are not meant to be flush. godhand are not flush. the anvil is meant to sit a little bit proud of the blade so the blade always has a flat edge to mate with and not mark the part. there should be a small nub left to file or sand off otherwise the nipper can mar the part leaving scratches that are harder to remove than the nub itself. both of the Rui Tool models achieve this perfectly like the godhand. almost all the other nippers had been ground so the rear edges were essentially flush and as the anvil wears the blade loses ability to cut fully through the plastic. the blade and anvil rear edges should be parallel though hence why the first pair iâm calling âdefectiveâalso i rated durability neutral as i canât say these will last having only cut four different brand runners into a few slivers. if theyâre like 1.0 they will outlast almost any. but i wonât keep them to learn.

Nice entry nipper for Games Workshop products
Cuts sprue with ease, pretty decent cut. Nice weight and grip, doesn’t feel cheap at all. I’ve cut about 12 small miniatures with it so far, there is no damage on the edge. I’ll probably continue to use this.

Perfect for beginners
I started with these and I keep ordering them because they work beautifully for the high-grade kits I build.

I cannot rate these highly enough after using some cheap clippers from Army Painter these cut through sprews like butter, well worth the cost …does make me wonder how much better more expensive versions can really be.But safe to say this is an easy 5 stars for me

Cortan el plástico como mantequilla, pero tienen la tendencia de atorarse con el mismo plástico al hacer el corte.

Bought these to use with my 3D printing projects and much sharper than the cheap set that came with the printer. The included cover protects the blades.
Gaurav B –
Not the best out there but will get the job done. Get a glass file for clean up.

works pretty well as a single blade nipper. a good entry if the Godhand nippers is a bit too expensive for you.
