A Quality Tool – Pipe Extractor
I had a removal in an underneath location that before I got this tool I buggered up worse. This tool is good stuff. Removed the broken nipple end and saved my but#. Tool is durable and does what is advertised.

Great for chasing threads and extracting
Used the tap for chasing threads – did a great job. Not sure how it would do cutting threads. Wouldn’t expect much based on the price. Extractor was used on a really short nipple that was quite recessed. I was able to just barely get a pipe wrench on the end of the fitting, however, the end of the nipple was being crushed. Hammered the extractor into the nipple and it provided more than enough shape and support to grab the piece with a pipe wrench and remove it. Used the extractor on another nipple and used my electric impact on it and it popped right out. Both fittings I used the extractor on had been soaked in penetrating lube. Be aware that you have to aggressively hammer the extractor into the fitting. I did not expect machinist quality tools at this price point. For 30 some odd, dollars it saved me a lot of hassle. They worked great for my application which makes them 5 star.

I’ve been using various pipe nipple extractors for 45+ years and had my doubts about this new (to me) design but to my surprise they worked flawlessly.I did a large commercial air compressor installation that used all stainless NPT fittings ($$$) so not buggering the threads on the pipe nipples that had to be changed was important. Not only did this tool work exceptionally well, it did not deform the pipe out-of-round or damage the threads in any way. As a bonus the set comes in a sturdy plastic storage case so they don’t rattle around in my toolbox.If you need to remove or re-use stubborn pipe nipples, I highly recommend this tool.

I had a NPT pipe break off in my air compressor and I tried everything to get it out and nothing worked.I decided to buy this pipe removal tool kit and give it a try. The second it showed up I gave it a try and it worked perfectly. I had the broken pipe out in seconds.Great product and I would definitely would recommend it.

I bought this in hope that it wonât remove a broken shower arm. Itâs a lovely tool set and Iâm sure it will work well with a schedule 40 nipple or broken pipe that is exactly 1/2 inch in diameter, but not the thin wall of a shower arm. Return was easy and flawless.Â
