Good basic tools for bike rims
This is a pretty basic set of tools for truing up your bicycle rims. When I was a kid, I use to just use pliers to adjust my spokes, which pretty much guarantees stripping them. As an adult I realized I should be using tools specifically designed for the job. This set comes with wrenches specifically designed to help you adjust your spokes.It comes with 3 styles of wrenches. One is the classic design that has the wire that forms a loop. The wire loop is not as thick as others I’ve used, but seems to work just fine. We’ll see how long it will hold up. Then the universal round style wrench that has 6 different sizes. And finally, the double headed wrench. It also comes with 3 tire irons to help remove the tire from the rim, but I probably won’t use it as the metal ones might scratch up the rim.I mainly got this for the spoke wrenches and they all seems to work fine. The quality I would consider good, but the tolerances could be better. The tolerances on the double ended wrench seems to be slightly less precise and I would worry about apply leverage with the longer handle and possibly stripping out the spoke nipple. All in all, this is a good basic kit to have around if you need to adjust your rims.

Wrong size but a file and I was good to go
The size of the spoke wrench openings are all off. The size spoke I have on my bikes are 12 but that opening is to big. I filed the next size down to fit my spokes. I kept the tools and filed them to work

Everything you need to true your wheel except the truing stand
This is a nice set of spoke wrenches for building or truing bike wheels. My rear wheel was a bit off so I had to keep the brakes looser than I liked to keep the wheel from rubbing. Using this kit and the appropriate wrench I was able to tighten and loosen a few corresponding spokes to move the rim enough that I was no longer rubbing if I tightened the brakes up. The wrench fit snugly onto the spoke with no play and functioned perfectly, allowing me to tighten and loosen spokes with ease. Easy to use, comes with a variety of sizes, and for some reason some metal tire levers which will never get used. This is a good value set and quite a low price for what all is included. I do recommend this set if you are looking to do a little bike wrenchin.

A must have for the cycling toolbox
I don’t know why I didn’t have a set of these before, but I do now, and they are pretty great. I don’t think the design for these wrenches has changed in 50 years, so these are completely functional and have the sizes needed to fit any bike. The grips make the wrenches easy to use, and the low pricetag makes it an easy choice. This particular kit comes with some other tools that make it a great value, but really, it’s all about the spoke wrenches.Now I will watch youtube to make sure I understand how to use them . . . .

Just a generic spoke wrench kit.
It’s a generic spoke wrench kit. It’s about as good as any of the others, however it’s not as good as the bigger brands that sell individually. It’ll get the job done if you’re not a mechanic and only occasionally need to true a rim, or if you just want a cheap set to throw in the bag for long distance adventure… Though I no longer recommend the metal tire levers, so I would replace those with something else.
