Great tool!!
Exceeded my expectations. Works great, had to do some sharpening prior to use. Tool is durable and well made.

One chisel 3x sharp
The idea here is quite good in terms of keeping a sharp chisel handy without needing to either sharpen (through three blades) or carry a set. While this 1″ wide chisel, with a blade a little over 3.5″ long, looks very sturdy, the shaft and blade have thick places and thinner places, and hard use could have such effects as loosening screws that hold the chisel together, securing the tip or the striking cap. A hex wrench is fitted into the sheath, so loose screws can be tightened. A second sign not to use the chisel very harshly is that, underneath the strike cap, the steel end is rather thin and not very flat. So, this chisel is good for removing wood for door latches, shaping the end of a 2×4, and similar uses where a nice, wood cutting chisel does the trick. If the blade gets dull or you accidentally strike a nail or something hard, the advantage of this tool is that two spare blades are immediately available. For hard pounding or extensive work, it may be better to go to the tool box and get chisels that have a thick core all the way through, and maybe a steel striking surface. But for having a sharp chisel handy, for use with out without a hammer, this one can sit ready on your belt. Since a normal chisel is often a solid bar of steel, while this one relies on screws to keep it together, I would rate this as a handy tool to carry, but I would not necessarily rely on it as a workhorse. But having a couple of sharp tips ready to go fits in its own niche of usefulness. For simple carving, with little or no impact, this chisel could do well.

Great concept that needs a little refinement
This is not a pairing or shop chisel. I did not expect that when I ordered it but I thought I would clear that up right away. This is what I would call a construction job site chisel. Normally I would purchase a 3 pack of chisels for $25 at the local box store with a construction tool companies logo on them and deal with the hassle of filing out the chip and sharpening them every time myself or an employee hit a staple or buried nail. I avoid doing it so the chisels might be pretty useless for a month before I get to it.I was a little bit hesitant to order this chisel for a number of reasons. It’s the first chisel I’ve owned with a replaceable blade. For some reason after years of learning how to put and keep a razors edge on my workshop chisels it felt kind of wrong. I do use replacement teeth on my spiral head jointer and planers, I own a set of lathe chisels with replacement carbide tips that I love so I decided my hesitation was unfounded. This chisel is a heavy duty, don’t hesitate to use your framing hammer on it work horse. I haven’t needed to replace the blade yet but did a quick change out and it’s a super easy switch. I wouldn’t use it to set a door hinge in by hand but when you need a robust chisel to get something done than this might be the tool for it.The drawbacksI found is the handle could use some refinement. That said I’m used to a standard handle of either wood or a plastic handle with a steel end that you can beat the heck out of, indefinitely. It’s not at all expensive for a high end bench chisel but I would not put it into that category. For a job site type chisel it is definitely on the expensive side. The sheath isn’t great for my application. I have a location on my trailer where we keep our chisels and a pocket on my tool belt that is made to hold a chisel and other tools with edges. Since it’s not something I carry around all the time I don’t need a sheath and it doesn’t work well with my current storage.Overall I think this chisel is a great idea, it works well. Since it saves time on my job site the price is not unreasonable.

Sturdy and thoughtfully designed and delivered
These are perfect, but still warrant 5 stars. The things that could be improved are that the installed blade wasn’t tight on arrival – fortunately once the screw was tightened a little it took the play out of the blade. But also the V shaped seat for the blade doesn’t perfectly mate. So some of the force may go through the fastener in sheer instead of it just needed to clamp the blade in place with all of the forces going through the handle. But it should be plenty sturdy to handle what will be transmitted through the plastic handle tip.I also took time to find an Allen key to tighten it, before I realized that there is a key slot build in and it comes with one. Nice touch! The other nice touches are that it has a sheath, and it carries all of the parts needed including the two replacement blades. One of the replacement blades had a minor imperfection in the edge. It might be cool if this could come with multiple blade sizes instead of 3 of the same 1″ size.Overall though ti feels really good, the blade is quite sharp, and it is protected and easy to store with the sheath that keeps it all together with the edges safe.
