This book covers metal working from soup to nuts. From making your own taps to a microscope, telescope and treadle lathe and not from grannie’s old Singer sewing machine either. Plating metals, etching metals, coloring metals with patina formulas. The list goes on forever. I use it constantly to at least get me started on web research.Five Stars only because there was not a sixth star!All libraries from communal to artist craftsmen should have this on the shelf.

A look back at a time of true renaissance men. When you had to know the sum total of your trade, and things were not replaced, they were either fixed of made up out of stock. Highly recommended reading, will bring satisfaction.
