Great product. The bigger size is definitely worth it. I took out the angle pin and put it in a drawer because it was just getting in the way, but if you do a lot of angles it would be super handy.

Do Everything Square
This square really does do everything. Once you put it together (3 screws) it is dead-on accurate. The design lets you scribe lines across the top and down the side with perfect accuracy. It also comes with a screw that can be dropped into a slot that is preset for exact angles. It also has an entire array of line-draw holes that let you draw perfect straignt lines with ease. If you are looking for a versatile speed square that brings great value for the money, take a look at this one. I love it.

Be prepared to modify for accuracy
Squareness is a challenge. Screws are just a fraction too long and will have to be shortened in order for the brace to be properly flush. Primary hole to secure the threaded positioning pin has tapping debris lodged in so can’t currently use this hole until I re-tap it. Without adding the brace, it is square, but I will have to figure something out, maybe some brute force to make it a quality squaring device. Was surprised at the gap revealed by my good squares. It is nice and lightweight and markings are clear. Hoping it will stand up to the work I have planned for it.

straightedge is screwed on, not a homogenous piece of metal
though its construction appears solid, the paint/coating is not very scratch resistant and the side must be screwed on. i prefer for my measuring squares to be a solid homogenous piece and to not have to worry about whether or not the three screws holding in the lip are tightened properly. this gives me uncertainty in the item’s accuracy.

Handy tool, not quite there though.
Handy tool, good addition to my toolbox. Iâm able to use a plain #2 pencil in the holes for marking parallel lines so I guess there was a revision made at some point given the reviews I read on here where nothing fit.I would have liked for the bolt on fence to be made in a T shape instead of an L? Depending on which end of a board youâre working on it would be nice to flip the square over if youâre transferring lines from the edge to the face.Iâd buy another one if they made it in a 12-13â size like my other speed squares.The pin storage seems like an afterthought, you have to remove the pin for thicker boards or itâs in the way of the square sitting flush. Needs a smaller head or a thicker fence to make it flush.

If you don’t want to spend like 5x the price on the woodpeckers version, this is the one to get. It is square, machined well, and it does what it is designed for. The holes ARE small, but I have a mechanical pencil which fits fine (not sure why other people are saying they don’t). You can get versions that don’t have 1/32nd granularity, but the price for this is tiny holes. I also like the two piece design because it becomes more versatile for using as a simple speed square. It’s become my go-to square for checking inside corners now.
