Works perfectly 2 1/4 inch dipple
I am building a kit airplane. I wanted to extract weight but also to dress up the appearance. I have used this tool in .020 and .040… 6061 T6 aluminum with no problems. I have also used it in 1/16 inch Lexan. The only thing to consider is in the aluminum with close spacing the sheet will try to warp but this is fixed once attached in place with edge fasteners such as my seats. I ordered a second set size1 5/8 inch. In the same aluminum I was getting tear out and edge cracks. Since no instructions were included, I was punching down and drippling down. Place the cutter on bottom punching up thru metal and drippling from top to bottom. Perfect results now.

Works great, itâs a good buy
I was skeptical of how well itâs going to work, but pleasantly surprised, it is heavy duty it punches and flares with ease, just drilled the center hole put together the tool and tightened the bolt, with very minimal effort it cut through the material and flared. I tried it on 20 gauge sheetmetal and the flared hole is ended up being 2-3/8â diameter, in case you would need exact 2-1/4 size youâd have to buy a smaller die

High Quality and seem Fantastic!!!
Very solid build quality. I have not cut anything with it yet but plan to tub my bed floor out on my 78 f150. They feel sharp. I will have to update how easy they are to use once I have done some cuts. As well as durability.

Good for diy projects!
Works good on aluminum plate. Need to use bigger washers and a little grease to make it easier to turn.

poor performance
After only 3 holes the cutter was dull and would not cut cleanly. I had to disassemble and manually punch out the disk. I have used many Greenlee knockout cutters, don’t expect the same kind of performance. It did a good job at flaring the hole.

Works Great When Used Correctly
I tried to just cut the hole first then dimple. Nope, the cut die and dimple die need to be stacked together at the same time to cut straight. Works well when done correctly.

I did not have good luck with this product
I tried to use this product on 20-22 Ga. steel and also SS 22ga. steel all it did was damage the steel plate. would NOT cut or bend opening good. sent back to Amazon for refund, lost the steel due to damage what a waste of time and steel plate

This manufacturer should spend a few dollars on research before they produce complete junk.
