Makes packing bearings so much cleaner and faster !
Makes packing bearings so much better as well as a whole lot cleaner. Simply a must have for the toolbox easy to use and speeds things up . Fits every wheel bearing I’ve run across as a car collector and restoration enthusiast . You can’t beat the price and it saves money on packing grease by reducing the waste when manually packing bearings by hand. Great tool and fast delivery . The best part is the price

    Take plunger out to fill
be sure to Take plunger out to fill grease before trying to use this.Do not try to fill it using the zerk fitting on top. If you use the zerk fitting you willbreak it off before getting the bottom full. I wasted a whole tube of grease beforeI realized I needed to remove the plunger completely. I had to use a pair of channel locksto get the plunger out. it was hard to remove. Hope this helps somebody save some grease. HA HA

    Plastic trash
This is not worth the money spent. Tried to use it to pack the bearings on a flat bed utility trailer with a 2000lb rating. Used a grease gun to fill the reservoir. I had a hard time getting the grease gun tip on the zerk. I started pumping grease. Which only went in the reservoir a little before pushing up through the piston packing gland. I tried to pull the gun off the zerk. The zerk pulled out. Now I have a zerk stuck in the grease gun tip and a grease coated pile of plastic trash. It would’ve been faster to pack the bearings by hand and much cheaper than trying to make this work or trying to fix what broke.. Especially when considering this is something I might use once per year for each trailer wheel. Find a better product elsewhere or do it by hand. There are several videos to show you how easy it is.

    Works as advertised.
Got this to repack the bearings on my car trailer and have been impressed. It took more grease than I felt like pumping through a grease gun to get the cup filled so I wouldn’t recommend using the grease fitting for that but rather just open the tube and scoop it into the bottom of the cup. In cold weather I would suggest placing it in the sun for a bit before using so the grease will move easier but the device works great for repacking wheel bearings.

Difficult to pull apart but good after that
This thing looks good and might be good if you can get it apart. I just now tied a strap around the piston and it refused to budge. I gave up because I feared breaking the thing. I tried WD40 and that didn’t work . I’m now soaking the whole thing in hot soapy water. If that doesn’t work not sure what to try. Things like this make me wonder if the manufacturer ever took one apart. Certainly doesn’t look like it. Post script-I finally got the plunger assembly out. I soaked it in hot soapy water with liberal amounts of Dawn liquid soap and then pushed down and pulled up until it started moving. Even that required a strap tied to the plunger knob and hooked to a solid anchor and then pulled the cup hard with both hands to finally get it free of the cup. Should definitely ship unassembled with the plunger assembly out of the cup. Haven’t tried it yet but hopefully it will work. Post script: this bearing packer actually works well. I filled it about 2/3 full with grease then assembled the plunger. I used it to pack all four front bearings for my truck and I must say it worked well. Thus I have upgraded my rating to a four. One thing I must say though pushing this by hand is pretty tough. I ended up using an arbor press to force the piston down. You just have to feed the pressure slowly though. Too much pressure might fracture the plastic cup. Slow and steady force on the plunger works well.

    Packed my bearings
Used to own a bearing packer similar to this. It wasn’t all that great but I can tell you this one here packed very very nicely.
