The Perfect Solution To Homemade A/C Lines!A complete hydraulic hose crimping that is perfect for those who like to do custom vehicle work. This kit uses what is kind of the industry standard the Hydra-Crimp style dies and head. This style tool and dies were only available from one company until the last year or so and were priced at well over $1000.00 for the most basic tool only, making them a very hard to justify expense for the DIY crowd. When their patent expired and other companies brought their versions to market the prices began to become far more reasonable and within the reach of most anyone. Even for a one time use situation, these kits now cost less than what it would cost to have your local hydraulic hose shop make custom lines for you, the last set I bought about 6 months ago for a classic car A/C system cost me over $500 to have them made, as well as a 4 week wait for them to be done. This kit would have more than paid for itself on that one car alone, aside from all the other cool things you can do with it! It gives me the ability to custom make nearly any line on my vehicle, the fittings for most all common oil, transmission, and fuel lines are available these days, and with this kit you can now make your own for all of them. It is a nice way to add a really custom and high end look to your engine bay when you have matching lines for everything that uses them.This kit is complete with the ability to use hose or line sizes from 5/16″ to 5/8″ with the included dies. Operation is straightforward with easy to change dies that come in and out in seconds for a fast setup. The head works well to drive all 6 of the die crimp heads evenly for a good looking an secure crimp when done. It makes fast work of making a hose, with a single crimp taking less than a minute once you get the hang of it. A fanatic professional grade tool that will last for years if used correctly.

Very good if you have a lot of forearm and wrist strength
This works very well. I used a hydraulic hose press – powered by hydraulics when I was a deckhand. The last boat I was on had one in the forepeak. I am familiar with how easy it CAN BE to make hydraulic lines the length needed. I never knew you could do it by hand and this is very easy to use, of course you need the hose and the fittings. You do need some strength in order to press this hard enough to make your fitting secure and not leaking, otherwise, you will not have a secure line. With that in mind, it is a great deal as most diy folks wont be doing a high volume of line making and a hyrdraulic press is beyond most peoples need and they cost thousands of dollars
