All pieces arrived, new and very sharp.
There are a number of low reviews referring to the scissors being “greasy” and “used”. Mine had some kind of lubricating oil on them, probably from manufacturing and most likely protects the scissors from rust during shipping. It wiped right off. Both pairs of scissors are extremely sharp. The thread snips had a tiny bit of rust on them, but they work great.There’s a ripper and tape measure in there, too, but if you’ve been sewing for awhile you’ve already got lots of those. Probably valuable for a beginner who wouldn’t know they needed them.I’ve always bought Gingher fabric scissors. I pay a nice penny for them, and all you get is the one pair of very good scissors. This set was under $15 and included all the listed accessories. If it lasts a year I will figure I got my money’s worth.

Well worth the cost
Professional scissors. I bought another pair of high rated scissors to compare (you can never have to many sewing scissors when you are an quilter!) These scissors cut through wool batting so much better. I highly recommend them.

Sharp and sturdy
Great price and excellent quality for home use. The fabric scissors cut jeans, linen, thick structured fabrics. And comes with little free accessories that are not necessarily sturdy but are a bonus.

tape measure isnt great
mostly all good but the tape measure is bad quality and mine is falling apart after about a year. the big scissors are great, the smaller ones are getting dull

Although I ordered these sometime ago I only got into the box in the last couple days. Very sharp edges, impressively stabby tips. Perfect if you need to carve out refined angles and small pieces. The big shears come with a guard, this set is quite heavyâif you have carpal tunnel or arthritis these could cause you pains. Personally I find heavy scissors help keep my long cuts more straight? 𤣠Excellent set unless you have a condition that requires you to go with lighter tools.
