Works great, well built and sturdy.
They work great and I’d recommend to any woodworker, especially hand tool users.

Works and easy to use, good quality
Did my first dovetail box with this guide and it really helps the cutting process. My thumb is a bit tiring keep holding and pinching it towards the board after so many cuts though.

Good Purchase
I bought the Woodgraphic 1:6 & 45/90 saw guides recently, but have used them extensively since. They are very well designed and offer the most competitive price for a product of such quality.I wanted to avoid saw guides with clamps that would limit the thickness of stock I work with, and avoid ones which depend on sandpaper to grip the work surface. My purchase decision boiled down to these so I got them and was pleasantly surprised. They grip the surface of various hardwoods very well, the magnets are strong and functional, and they have a flexible design that also allows you to saw with either hand without flipping the board around in the vise. The only sort of flaw is that it quickly developed saw abrasions on the edges. I was a lot more careful after noticing this so it hasn’t worn down enough to significantly affect the accuracy.Nevertheless, these have been quite useful, have a very well-considered design, and accurate machining.I went ahead and bought a David Barron dovetail saw guide in a different measure (about $23 more expensive) so we’ll see in a few weeks how Woodgraphic compares to a – reputably – tried & true saw guide.

Fair but far from great
It’s “okay” but could use several refinements. Metal edges tend to scratch the side of the saw and the lack of edge beveling on the metal frame leads to snagging the saw teeth preventing a smoother cut. Also the magnets could be a bit stronger. After a few times using this guide, I opted for a DIY version made from hardwood.

The Better Guide
I purchased 2 different brands of Dovetail Saw Guides, this one being the winner. It employs a strong magnet to keep the saw aligned, and has a rubbery coating on those surfaces that contact wood, to avoid slippage. But I’m also glad I bought the other less effective guide. (Weaker magnet and not rubber coated.) Since I don’t use it for cutting, it’s not dinged up by my hand saw, and is therefore in excellent condition to function as a layout tool for setting up the cuts. But if a single guide makes more financial sense to you, the Woodraphic is the preferred choice.

Simple and worth it.
I rarely write reviews, but it’s worth giving this small tool a five star. While I know how to cut dovetails, it had been a while. My first effort (the walnut scrap) used a japanese dozuki (dovetail saw) and the joints were marked out by hand. It has plenty of gaps and not so straight saw lines. On the plywood scrap, I used the Woodraphic to lay out the joints and guide a ryoba (japanese hand saw without the spine stiffener) to make the saw cuts. Works exactly as advertised. If you make sure the jig rests flat against the workpiece, the saw lines are dead straight and at a repetitive angle. While I suppose I could build something similar with wood, a magnet, and some slippery tape, a quick attempt at a hand-cut and chopped through-dovetails is made fairly easy using this tool (see attached photos of the joint in plywood). While a “hand-cut” look can be somewhat replicated by machine, this jig made the process reasonably quick and easy by hand. Rarely are tools so effective out of the box!

Accurate, easy to use guide
I’ve used countless methods for cutting dovetails, homemade jigs, shop-made pullsaw guides (much like this product), router table jigs and sleds, both cheap (Harbor Freight) and expensive (Leigh D4R) router jigs, you name it. None of which, including the highly priced and exceptional Leigh jig can touch this awesome saw guide IMO. So easy to use, with high repeatability and accuracy. Would highly recommend this product to anyone who’s interested in giving handcut dovetails a go. It has helped me tremendously. Pictures are of my first inlaid dovetails, made using only my Suizan pullsaw (another amazing product btw!), and this saw guide. But this product, you truly won’t regret it.

Just the job to keep your saw blade on the right path for dove tailing.Apart from a few scratches down the side works just fine. The scratches could just be the saw not bang on positioning at the start ? So possibly operator error at start of cut.
