Compact digital angle finder with four magnetic sides, but laser line is not parallel to body
I wanted to like this digital angle finder and for the main purpose of determining and setting differential angles, it works well. Each of four sides are magnetized so the tool can be attached to the side of a table saw blade, zeroed out and then the blade can be angled with precision. The angle finder is pretty intuitive to use, initially turning it on measures relative to level horizon like a bubble level. But pressing the zero key zeroes the device to the current reference surface. Then that angle can changed and the display will show the difference (without respect to horizon level). One feature that’s noteworthy is the display automatically inverts if the measuring tool is placed upside down. Since it has magnets on all four sides, it can be attached in any orientation so I’m not sure why this is necessary, but it’s still a neat feature. The display is bright but depending upon the angle it is viewed, some of the symbols get dimmer which makes reading the digits a little difficult unless viewed straight on. Not a deal breaker, just need to pay a bit more attention to get the right reading. The main reason I deducted one star is for the laser line feature. In theory, the line projected should be parallel to the base of the angle finder so the line should be parallel to whatever surface the device is placed on. Unfortunately, on my unit this laser assembly is visibly off. It’s the same on both sides (there’s a laser projector on both sides of the device) so at least the two lines are parallel with each other, but they are not parallel to the surface the device is resting on. I could not find any way to adjust this to level as the laser projection components are all contained inside the sealed case. The instructions do indicate that the digital level can be user-recalibrated (to set to level with the horizon). I did not try this as the manual also states that the device has been factory calibrated and that once the user-calibration is initiated, the factory calibration is lost. As far as I can tell, the digital level was calibrated properly out of the box.

Surprise Dual Lasers and Solid Precision
One feature that wasn’t immediately obvious from the product images is that this magnetic level projects a laser line from both sides, which adds significant utility to the tool. It isn’t just a gimmick; I put the laser accuracy to the test by marking a level line from the middle of a 45-foot long room. When I reversed the unit, the laser hit the exact same level on both sides, confirming its precision is spot on. (Note that this is not a laser level. The laser line is projected at the same angle as the unit.)Regarding the digital angle gauge, it performed reliably and stayed well within the stated 0.2-degree tolerance during my checks. It is a highly capable tool, though there is one specific caveat to keep in mind regarding orientation. The accuracy is definitely at its peak when the unit is upright. I noticed that the reliability of the readings dipped slightly when the device was placed on its side or upside down, so it is best to stick to the upright position.

Decent tool but accuracy feels uncertain
QualityThe build is fine and the magnets grip well. The screen is clear and the lasers line up cleanly. It feels solid enough for casual use.PerformanceYou need to calibrate it before using it. Even after doing that, mine still did not feel completely accurate. It finds level well enough for basic tasks, but I would not rely on it for precision work. Your results may differ depending on your needs.ValueThe features are good for the price and the rechargeable battery is convenient, but the accuracy issues make it hard to fully trust.ConclusionA workable angle and level tool with nice features, but the reliability of the readings will vary.

Good, but not great…
This angle finder is good, but not great. It claims to have a +/ 0.2 degree accuracy, however, when I opened this up and put in on my kitchen table, I zero’d it out in “relative” mode, turned 90 degrees, and it would measure between 88.7 and 89.5. I could NOT ONCE get it to measure 90 degrees, whether I turned it left or right. Again, it’s relative mode… So it should matter if the table is complete level. When this arrived there was some extra plastic from the manufacturing process/mold I needed to trim down so it would sit level. Additionally, not 100% sure the laser out/lens is recessed enough. This could be causing the out of level issue…The items itself is build well. Metal frame with some plastic trim. The item powers on easily, switches between relative and absolute easily, and the laser has multiple settings (right side, left side, both, or neither). USB-C charging is also convenient. This unit ONLY works for angles that are vertical. Meaning, there is some sort of mechanism inside using gravity. You can’t lay this flat and try to measure an angle, the unit must remain upright or it will throw an error.Great concept. I like the product, it’s a convenient size to carry for reference and the lasers are nice. But I don’t think I can trust it for precision work.
