Turns out its a great tool
Worked very well when building my deck. I was leary at first as i dont like buying knock off cheap tools but it was a gamble that paid off. I also liked that it didnt mar or mark up the cedar deck boards. Im extremely picky on tools and i would recommend this. My only complaint was the rubber handle slids off easy. Just pull that off and throw it away as its un-needed anyways

It’s a good tool for a deck
4/5 stars – A solid deck board straightener tool! This thing does its job well, bending and tightening boards with ease. However, I did notice that it can slightly mess up the joist tape in some areas, so be mindful of that. The handle location can also be a bit inconvenient at times, maybe consider a design that allows for some adjustability. Despite these minor quirks, I’d still recommend this tool to anyone building or renovating a deck. It saved me a lot of time and effort, and the results look great.

Quality and strong but may need tightening on the frame support
This was incredibly helpful to save me from Home Depot deck boards coming in an S Shape. It is easy to use, there are a couple ways you can use the two bolts to bend the board in the right spot. The price is a bit steep, but the quality is strong and the design is to be able to use it on any framing you have under the boards.The negatives I would list are the price, it was higher than a few others, but the design of the round roller did help a lot without severely damaging the wood like I have seen in other similar products. It can dent the side a bit. I also would recommend tightening the bolts for the two parts that go on the frame but not too tight. The design does mean that it needs to be a little loose but too loose and it could break or not give you the leverage you need. Pay attention to those two bolts and tighten them to where they barely twist and it will help you.

Must have for decking
I’ve been installing trex decking covering 1000sqft. First half I borrowed a decking tool which was orange and says it’s heavy steel which was not easy and would not lock in place. This RUIPAI is by far the better choice. The prongs are very strong and easy to adjust for double joist. The black wheel is rubber which does not dent or mark your material. You can easily use this to lock you board and walk away so you can put your fasteners in place. This is an easy one person job. Only gripe is the blue grip slips very easily. this can also be used for normal treated decking.

Rugged and effective at a GREAT price!
I opted for this device over more expensive versions, including the CAMO unit for 2x. It’s VERY rugged! I’ve been really pulling on this like a gorilla to ensure a tight fit between the PT deck boards and it’s worked like a charm. My only gripe is that the construction is ~5/16″ thick, so the black roller only bites into about half the deck board and has occasionally “rolled over the top” of the deck board. Maybe I just pull too hard… Get this! You won’t regret it!
