   Got a Leaky Outdoor Faucet?
   Not exactly a romantic or techie product. Periodically, every 5-7 years, you may have a leaky hose bib / outdoor faucet. Repacking the valve stem with this product can stop annoying drips and sprays. It works well.

   Leaking valve handle?
   I didn’t know that you could fix a leaking valve stem – a youtube video later I was putting this stuff in on a 3/4″ water supply gate valve that would be difficult to just replace; and fixed it for little cost.

   Conforms nicely
   Easy to use. Just took about 3 windings around the valve stem of an outdoor faucet to seal it. If you use too much the valve may not open all the way. The Graphite version conforms nicely to the gaps around the stem. I also bought the Teflon version, thinking this may not work or wouldn’t last. It works fine; I’ll post again if it fails prematurely.

   Easy to use and worked for me
   This cord works well to pack around the stem of an old faucet. Just a couple wraps of this under the stem nut will help seal the faucet from leaking out of the top of the faucet. And then of course replace the little rubber seal also while you have the stem assembly out. Happy plumbing!!

   Works Awesome!!
   i had a leak in my water valve regulator….didn’t want to buy a repair kit or a replacement. a friend told me about this, so i gave it a shot. i liberally applied this under the leaking bolt, tighten back up, and it sealed it perfectly!

   Fixed leak
   My main valve has a small leak so decided to replace packing material. After removing packing nut, I found a rubber washer under it. I tried to use only the graphite packing material but didn’t work. I put the old washer back and then added the graphite and stopped the leak.

   this packing works like uncured rubber, it will stretch till it breaks but just over lap it and re-apply. this fills gaps and voids in tap valves made over seas. seems to be coated with talc. be mindfull of handling wash hands after using. Easy to use.

    I bought this product which is really designed for faucets because some geezer on a steam heating thread recommended it. To start with its not designed for steam and disintegrated quickly within a season, its expensive for this application and get this …. for steam valves my steam heating fitter / specialist just told me that tightly and thickly wound teflon tape will do the job beautifully. And by jingo … he’s right. Cheaper and more effective. Nice.
