Fit Great and Work Well
My wife never learned to ride a bike as a kid. We recently bought a used bike and picked these up so she could give it a try. These brackets are extremely well made and high quality. I had very little problem fitting them to her bike except that I needed to make sure they didn’t get in the way of pedaling or the brake cable (which wasn’t difficult to manage). I installed them pretty easily with just a rachet set and they’ve held together great and allowed my wife to experience bicycling. They do make the bike slightly heavier but my wife or I still have no problem lifting the bike out of the truck bed. They don’t rattle at all like the training wheels I remember as a kid- they fit securely to the frame. There are a few drawbacks to this set up:1. They make the bike wider which may make biking on smaller trails impossible with two way traffic. I’ve thought about adding flags to the posts so other bikers would be more likely to notice the extended width but we’ve not done any trail biking so it hasn’t been necessary.2. Turning is going to feel really weird for anyone used to leaning into turns (someone who doesn’t actually need these) because you can barely lean. This makes turns much wider which you have to account for.Altogether, we’re very happy with this purchase and my wife has loved being able to bike for the first time.

Only wheels that I could find that work with electric bicycles.
The positives:- Very Heavy Duty. The components are not light weight like the other Training wheels I have tried.- Work on my wife’s electric bike. After trying many different training wheels, I found that these are the only ones that don’t mount to the rear axle. With electric bikes, they have a wire coming out of the axle that don’t allow you to mount other wheels.- Very well made. The parts are all quality. They even though of caps to cover the screw threads so you don’t injure yourself.- Good instructions. It was fairly easy to put together and the instructions where easy to followThe negatives:- Price. These are EXPENSIVE when it comes to Training Wheels, but when others don’t work and you want a quality product, these are it.- Width the training wheels stick out quite a bit. They are very stable, but does cause issues in tight spaces.

Great training wheels — worked mounted ~2 inches from the ground for me
I really like these training wheels. I got them for added stability after losing my balance a couple of times and falling with my bike. I’m in my 70s and my sense of balance isn’t as good as it once was. These training wheels give me confidence to keep on biking for exercise and to do some shopping with my bike too. They are sturdy and well made. IMPORTANT! For riders like me who already know how to balance on a bike, have the training wheels set above the ground — about 2 inches NOT flush with the ground. I had mine installed by a bike shop and the technician set them very low — about 1/2 ” from the ground. This is way too low and dangerous for me. See the attached diagram. With the wheels flush with the ground, riding on a cambered street (higher in the middle), the bike travels hard to the right, and you have to lean way out to the left to get the bike to travel in a straight line. By raising them about 2 inches above the ground, they work as expected. You can steer straight on a slanted street but the wheels will still catch you if you lose your balance and start to tip. I found that I had to get used to a different way of starting, and cornering of course is different, but I really enjoy the stability and confidence I’ve gained from using these wheels.Addendum 9/1/2022: I tried lowering the wheels to 1″ but had the same problems steering. The 2″ height is right for me because I know how to balance on a bike and just want the wheels for safety in case I start to fall. A person who is just learning to ride a bike on a flat surface may need them set lower.

Fantastic product
75 year old wife with balance issues. Couldn’t ride e bike I bought her, UNTIL I got these stabilizer wheels. Now she zips around at 25 mph and enjoys the bike and rides to the beach.

Axel design flaw??
These have a design flaw. The wheel tightens directly to the post and the axel nut tightens directly to the other side of the post squeezing the wheel. If you tighten the axel nut enough so that the wheel doesn’t wiggle, it doesn’t turn freely. If you back the nut off even just a hair, the wheel begins to wiggle and when it touches the pavement while riding, the wheel cants to the right pulling the bike where you don’t want to go. Otherwise, good solid material, easy to assemble, (if you have some experience with reading drawings) and fit my wife’s 26″ bike perfectly. I sent them back because I can’t risk my 80-yr old wife having a wreck.

Make bike impossible to ride
I bought these because I have a medical issue that affects my equilibrium. I put them on my bike and they made the bike even more unstable. When I tried to pedal the bike almost tipped over and I was close to falling off and hitting the concrete.

Very strong stabilizers and I am quite a heavy person. Takes a bit of getting used to when turning a bend. Need to take a wider berth. Both wheels aren’t on the ground at the same time. They have really helped with my confidence. I have attached them to an E bike, which I can’t touch the ground. or find the battery charger!! I’m in my 50’s and just want to get fit again.

The product was poor quality. The tyres got punctured 4 times in the one month we tried to use.The U clamps were wrong sized, and was a struggle getting it fixed.I feel, Amazon should stop marketing such poor quality products.

Our handicapped son (downs syndrome) had been using a three-wheel bike and I felt it was time to upgrade to a regular bike and training wheels with the hope of eventually getting rid of training wheels altogether. The problem was regular training wheels were not sturdy enough to manage his size and body weight (he is in his mid teens’ weights over 100 pounds). I researched adult bike training wheels, came across these, and thought I’d give them a shot. It was money well spent. Took about a half hour to put together, very simple to assemble. He was buzzing around the cul-de-sac shortly after I got the unit assembled, excited about his new ride. The only thing was it was missing one of the small nuts (I had some spares myself so I was okay) and I added a washer to the bolt and nut which attaches the wheel to the arm of the training unit. An Allen wrench would have been nice (I have tools but not everyone may who purchases this product). The bike pictured has a14″ frame with a 24″ tire. It would be considered a small adult bike.Well worth the money I spent on the unit. It was very exciting to see how much joy our son had with this and am looking forward to spending some time with him cruising around the neighborhood. 🙂
