Purchased to help with the measurements along the stone side of our fireplace. Installed shiplap for a weekend project. There were many different cuts that needed to be made and this allowed me move much faster.So easy my son ended up helping with the measurements. Came exactly as described and was very cost effective. Allows the user to fit the angle, then lock into place for the cut. Compared to other similar tools, was priced just right. Seems to be very durable as itâs made of a tough plastic.

It’s a fantastic tool. I installed laminate flooring in my house and had wicked angles everywhere to deal with.This tool took the headache out of trying to figure angles out. The time it took was greatly reduced and because it was so accurate I used a lot less flooring. I bought this template because it was a bit deeper and longer than the others.The locking feature held really well. They include an allen wrench so that you can keep it adjusted for the maximum tightness.It would be nice if the company offered one that was longer and deeper. As there are times when you have multiple angles and longer runs to figure out.All in all a great addition to my tool chest. I would buy it again.

Limited accuracy in getting reliable profiles
For large objects these will be okay. (There are two in this box, one is 5″ long and the other 10″. Both marked in metric and ASE measure). If you need sharp, highly accurate profiles get a “needle gauge. Use care when trying to get a profile as the pins seem a bit brittle in really cold weather. None broke while I was using this. The locking mechanism is a great feature. I really like the angle ruler that came with it. Also marked in metric and ASE.

It works well and is fairly easy to use. The plastic material should last a lifetime and the teeth glide smoothly into place whether used for inside or outside corners, edges etc. The price is a little high for what it is but on the other hand it can save lot’s of time so i may be worth it although I have only used it once since I bough it a few months ago so food for thought.

Of all similar products this one is of sturdy construction and being a bit weighty it doesn’t slip when transferring the set profile onto a surface. The locking bar is a good solid design.

First keep in mind these things arenât precision instruments. You will need to keep an eye on the tools fingers as you press in and may need to manually push up some of the fingers so this requires some dexterity. Sometimes it works without manipulation but donât always count on it.That said the depth or âwidenâ of these is a big plus compared to other brands. Also the lock feature works well. Would recommend.
