    Inacuarate Ruler (UPDATE BELOW)
For the 4.5″ 3D Square: The machining is nice. The anodizing is nice. Laser markings are nice. However, this item is made and sold to perform two things: Make straight lines, and measure things. It does only one of those things well. The ruler is off dramatically. At 4.5 inches, the ruler grows by 1/8″. That’s significant, and unacceptable. I compared the ruler on this square to 5 other rulers just to make sure, and the result is the same.UPDATE: The seller emailed me and offered a few solutions upon seeing my original review. They offered a full refund without requiring me to return the product, and also offered me another square as an apology. I opted for the 12″ square, and it is mostly fantastic. The rulers are far more accurate, and has an accurate 90-degree spine. It has plenty of markings, a pivot divot, quick reference chart, and a bird’s mouth reference line. The only issue I’ve found is that the 1/8″ scribe marks are slightly off by 1/16″. All of the scribe marks are off by the same amount in the same direction, so that minimizes the issue, but it’s still slightly off.In conclusion, while the customer service of the seller is fantastic, at the end of the day, these are meant to be precision measuring instruments, and they are not quite accurate enough for detailed work.

    I love the Size!!!
I wish they would have had this size of fast framing square when I was framing houses! But this works great for my other home projects as well.

    Helpful Garage Tool
This square is a convenient size. It does everything I wanted it to do, without taking up too much space. My biggest concern was to ensure it would extend past a typical 4″ X 4″. It does. The lower leg isn’t as long as the main leg. I can turn the square to the other side to extend the pencil line, if necessary. I compared the angles to my machinists square. The angles are true and square.

Machining isn’t great. There is a small inaccuracy when screwed together. It’s a shame it looked like it was going to be a nice square. Maybe it’s a one off I don’t know.
