Good for Kids and Adults, not Great for Kids Solo
You still need to help your kids play with these, or at least I did with my 3 kids under 10, but it was a blast to build forts and shields. Resist the urge to break out a box cutter.

    Picture comparison with makedo
This is a cardboard construction set similar to one we already had – the makedo set. They are both very similar in quality. I have side-by-side pictures of the tools from each set, including the screws. The tools have handles that are easy to hold and use with no worry of injury. The thread on the screws are not as big as makedo’s and the screws come in only one size. My daughter preferred the makedo (blue) screws because they came in 3 different lengths. The shorter ones didn’t stick out as much and the longer ones could be used to connect more pieces of cardboard. However, the kraftzoo set came with hinges so it was easier to make moving pieces – like a door that opens – on your creations. Overall, it is a really great cardboard construction set!

    AMAZING
This is the coolest thing I’ve gotten off Amazon in a long time! I didn’t know what to expect but these work amazingly well. I do a lot of DIY crafting and work with cardboard and these are an absolute game changer.

    Something new for creativity!
I had used similar set of tools a while ago at local library event and the kids loved them! What really worked then was that the library had piles of cardboard ready to go, so there was no shortage and kids could just go. At home is a little different since I don’t have room to keep cardboard stacking up, so the kids sort of lost interest fast. These tools and the supplied screws are great, durable, and well worth the money to try and promote some creativity in your kids!As some other reviews mentioned; the saw blade tool is sort of sharp and I have to keep that put away so my 1 yr old can’t get it. No issue letting my 4 and 6 yr old use that tool though and it does cut cardboard pretty efficiently. The screws hold together strong and this kit supplies plenty of screws for decently sized creations.

Time for Creative Play! Terrific kit for kids and cardboard
I had high hopes with this kit and my expectations have been exceeded! The kit was purchased for my 8 and 9 year old boys, with some hesitancy that they’d be all that into it. But I needed something to get them off technology and this kit felt right. They’ve been playing with it to some degree over the past several weeks. Obviously at first there was a lot of interest and as time went on the novelty wore off a little. BUT this kit makes playing with cardboard fun and engaging. That said, the boys have continued playing with the kit especially when larger boxes make it into the house. The kit comes with a variety of kid-focused cutting tools, connectors, and hinges. Everything is reusable, assuming you take the pics off the cardboard before throwing it away.I will say that while the cutting tools are generally safe, I’d use caution allowing younger kids to play. They might me closed to “dull” knives but they’re still knives with blades. Harder cardboard can lead to a knife going sideways and cutting little hands.Overall it’s been a great value and I’d absolutely get another kit. I also suspect my 14 year old has been helping his little brothers when I’m not watching 😉

    Requires Supervision, Tools are Sharp
I got this kit for my 5-year-old to explore building with cardboard, since we have plenty, and it’s been a good hands-on activity. The tools are designed specifically for kids and are lightweight and easy to use. The cutter, puncher, and roller work well on cardboard. With that said, while the tools are made for kids, some of them are still sharp enough to cause injury if not used carefully. They’re not toys, and I wouldn’t recommend letting young children use them unsupervised. With close adult supervision and clear guidance, though, it can be a fun and rewarding activity. It comes with basic ideas but it would be great if it included a more comprehensive idea booklet to get the creative juices flowing. Everything is reusable, which makes it a practical option for repeated play. There are plenty of parts, so it also works well when friends or siblings join in.
