Wow this item saved me so much time and frustration neatest thing I ever saw and worked with out a hitch even when I used it with metal wall paneling, the magnet was so strong it knew the difference from the metal panel to the magnet I needed it to go to with the tool, so it works on both with no issues. Loved it

Good quality tools that make the job easier. No complaints here. Itâs easier to use in some outlet boxes than others but that has to do with the outlet makers and not this producer. 5 Stars!

Works great
These work great. I used them putting drywall and plywood up on the walls and ceiling. The magnets are strong enough to hold through 3/4â plywood. Definitely recommend. Makes life so much easier and keeps your cuts precise.

Missed the outlet by 3/4″
I wasted a 4×8 sheet of drywall because this tool missed the mark. I aligned the locator perfectly, so I thought, because the magnet grabbed it in place. I outlined the hole per directions and to my shock the hole cutout was not even close. I think what happened was one of the two magnets grabbed, putting the locator too high. The two magnet design is the problem here. One center magnet and this would never have happened. Back to Home Depot for another sheet of drywall and throwing this tool in the trash!I had to amend this review after finding out that most of my issues were user error. After reading the instructions more closely, I realized that you need to pay attention to the arrows on both parts and make sure they both point up. The errors are the same yellow color of the rest of the tool, so they are not easy to see, and I missed them at first. I flipped the drywall patch 180 degrees and tried it again, this time paying attention to the arrows and the tool worked perfectly and the new hole lined up perfectly with the outlet. My only criticism now is those arrows are incredibly important and should be a bright red color. Other than that, this is a very good tool and works quite well. My new rating is 4 stars.

Fantastic product that saves time!
Absolutely recommend this product! Just finished the drywall in my basement and using this made the cutouts for outlets and switches 1000 times easier. I recommend marking with a sharpie around the magnet and cutting just a hair larger, but overall a fantastic product. Easy to use and involves absolutely no measuring

I found these to work very well. Very simple to use. Have used them on metal boxes as well as plastic ones. I had no issues with them working on 1/2â and 5/8â drywall.

Forget “lil bubba’s” 1 star review – This is an OUTSTANDING TOOL!
Okay, prior to purchasing this kit I read the 1 star review posted by “lil bubba” and his comment trade off with “casual gamer”. I am a casual DIYer, not a contractor. I am not associated in any way with the manufacturer or distributor of this tool. I’m just a small business owner that likes to do small projects on weekends.With that out of the way, let’s get to it. Anyone who cannot figure out how to use this product should stay away dry wall projects or anything that doesn’t require skill, thought, talent, or common sense. This means you “lil bubba”. No sharp objects for you okay? I can’t believe you actually run a dry wall crew and you and the knuckleheads that work for you are too dense (or lazy) to learn how to use this great tool. Shall we call you “Corkey”?I have never had an easier time cutting ACCURATE holes for my outlet boxes. Like most people, I always take the extra time to measure twice to ensure accuracy. Since I’m NOT a professionally trained contractor and have never worked in the construction industry, I do NOT know the little tricks or shortcuts for this type of work. Even measuring something twice there can be an element of being off just a bit. Not with the Blind Mark however. Accurate cuts every time. To say the tool saved me time would be an understatement.The only very small gripe I can remotely think of is that I wish the Blind Mark “marking” box had a small leveling bubble just for a little fine tuning. No big deal however, just a thought.I actually bought the Blind Mark for my recent salon expansion and installed over 20 single and dual outlet boxes. There was not one screw up. Not one. There was no measuring, over-thinking, or second guessing where I needed to make my cuts. Every single box was 100% accurate. I didn’t even have a dremel, just an inexpensive dry wall saw. Easy, just very easy.This is the first review I have ever written about an item I purchased on Amazon. I simply felt the need to address a bogus review left by someone who is obviously “challenged” in some way.

These looked great and would be a handy addition if your putting up your own drywall/gyprock in the USA. I got them but they do not fit the AU/NZ size standard size wall plates. I returned them with no issues. Bummer! The magnets seemed pretty strong to me.

J’ai pas le compas dans l’oeuil et mes ouvertures dans la plaque au plâtre était plus souvent qu’autrement aproximatives. On rénove notre sous sol et on gagne énormément de temp avec cet outil. c’est incroyablement simple et efficace. Je recommande a tous castor bricolleur. Ceci dit, même si c’est conçu pour des boitier en plastique ça fonctionne aussi avec les boitier en metal.

These are a real time saver. No more wasted material from incorrect measurements. The magnets are very strong as you can see from the picture, they are holding on a desk that is 1″ thick so 5’8,1/2 or 3/8 drywall is not a problem. I should also mention they fit various style gang boxes including the pictured plastic boxes and steel boxes. Only regret is that I did not find this product years ago!**update** I have used this product for a few drywall jobs now and the only update to note is when cutting older steel gang boxes, I make the cut about 1/8″ inside the lines with an oscillating tool so not to over size the hole. Other then that they work perfect an have been bang on every time.

This product works as described. The only issues I’ve encountered are that I used it incorrectly once (arrows down instead of up) and once I forgot that I had placed a marker behind a sheet of drywall. The only issue that wasn’t user error is that he pins that load into the threaded screw holes are very tight in metal boxes. I tried to crimp one with pliers so it would slide in better, but it broke the pin, that marker still works, though. Other than that, this is a worthy tool, easily made my money back in a day through the efficiency gains of not having to measure out electrical boxes.

Very simple product that does its job.Make sure the finder magnet is right on top of the box magnet,you can wiggle it a bit to feel the strength of the connection.There be probably a few mm play to it but that ok the outlet cover will hide it.When cutting the drywall make sure to cut it a tad on the outer marked outline not on the line itself so you can fit it over the box.
