   Essential for industrial pipe work, fitter or plumber.
   Anyone getting into pipe trades needs to learn to use these. Phone app calculators are problematic because some job sites won’t allow you to use your phone and even still every time you use your phone you risk dropping it on hard concrete. This just has everything you need and is durable enough to survive the work.

   it looks like something even a plumbing engineer could use
   I bought this with the thought that it provided a database of take-offs for fittings, which it does not. I have been using a generic construction calc. knowing the various multipliers for 22.5, 45 fittings and get the same results. I’m just a plumber, so I don’t need the ‘fitters’ functions. If you need the advanced functions, it looks like something even a plumbing engineer could use. It’s too smart for my requirements, but is easier to use after 20 minutes of reading the manual and playing with it. Definitely falls under the ‘cool tool’ category …..

    Love this calculator. I am taking Maths for Plumbing and it makes it so simple to enter and do maths with imperial and metric measurements and at the press of a button I can get answer in factions or decimal (imperial or metric) formats by pressing a button. I see classmates doing pipe calculations and struggling with doing conversions and making errors while I press a couple of buttons and my answer is automatically converted. Once you internalize the maths, trigonometry and geometry functions calculations of center-center pipe-lengths are a breeze for most types of pipe and all types of fitting angles. This tool takes the load of worrying about convention of measurements and let’s you focus on the rules of plumbing for each type of material.I previously used a regular calculator to calculate pipe lengths and made lots of errors doing conversions. Now if I do a manual calculation I can quickly check my answer using this tool.Will have to review again when I finish the whole course. I am halfway thru.
