Solid tongs. Good for putting things in and out of fires.

Great beginner tongs
So this is a good beginner tong. It works for flat stock and round stock. I haven’t tried it for square stock, but I would imagine it works OK.It gets a little hot after a long amount of forging, you just need to wear a simple leather glove to handle the heat though. The only other thing is that my rivet got really stiff one day, and I had to take my hammer to it a bit to loosen it up again. Not a big deal bit minor things I noticed.

It has a good feel to it. I like it a lot. It does need to be heated up and lightly taped so that both teeth touch at the same time to keep a flat bar from spinning side to side, just a minor adjustment

Used it few times and…
The tips don’t meet parallel, meaning that if you try to grasp something flat, it only grabs a corner. It wasn’t a huge deal to file the ends parallel, but it’s something to maybe check before trying to put that first knife blank into the oven.
