Great little nippers
These are great!Small cutters are easy to maneuver in tight places, and cuts are flush and precise. There’s a small grub screw to keep from overzealous squeezing, thus keeping the cutting edges from dulling prematurely. Action is smooth and has a quality feel. I ordered these for use with de-supporting resin prints, and I expect they will give years of use in this role. Not sure how they’ll fare if used for more demanding cutting tasks like electronics and wire cutting. The jaws are pretty small, so they seem to be self-limiting as to how large an object can be cut by it, keeping it within its capabilities.I’d buy these in a heartbeat if I need another pair.

As advertised!
These are nice nippers for the money and gets into tight spots on the sprue.

OK, what I expected with typical weaknesses at this price point
They present nicely: the aesthetics are nice in that they have a clean design that says “new”… also that they mean business. They they don’t have any of the marks of cheapness, which is a good thing, because they aren’t. They’re not expensive either and the weaknesses they have are typical in this price range, so they’re nothing special. They aren’t the thinnest nips out there, or even among my tools. But they do well replacing a more expensive pair. A saving grace is that they have a set screw, which is a must-have, but it seems it was set before shipping (or by a previous owner, perhaps?) and the person who set them had closed the blades with some significant force—there were burs on both blades. I had to readjust the set screw so that the blades all but tough, instead of the firm contact they made before. All of which alerted me to how loose the screw was, so I added some Loctite. I’ve never received a pair of nips that had the set-screw pre-set. I’ve wondered why they don’t do it as a way to avoid damage during shipping. As I mentioned, though I may have been hoping for something special at this price point, I got what I reasonably had expected. My reasonable self likes them and would recommend to a friend.

Very sharp and efficient
I bought it to use with my Bandai R2D2 model and it worked great! Very easy to use and cut through the gates between the moulded parts and the sub runners attached to the plastic frame (sprue).I hate the term sprue as it’s normally used in the context above because it’s not technically the ‘sprue’, the plastic left behind, formed by the actual sprue (the vertical channel between the nozzle on the injection moulding machine and the main runner, which is the large plastic rectangle that the molded parts are mounted on via sub runners and gates).

Best Cutters You Dont know About
I ordered this product to work on some kits while waiting for my stuff after a move. I figured they seemed to be decent quality and cheap so no worries if they break or deteriorate. I have been using these on multiple builds between cutting nubs and cleaning up gates. Still sharp and works like I just bought them. Certainly would reccomend to anyone looking at cutters in the 30-45 dollar range.

I’m very impressed on how well this cut parts out of the runners. Price is alright compared to other brands that are really expensive. My only complain is that handle is a bit slippery. Overall this is a good buy. Highly recommended for those who likes model kits, as well for beginners who’s looking for staring tools.
