A step up
This Arrow hammer is quite nice to use. It feels ergonomically comfortable in my hand. It has really good balance and when hitting a nail it’s very stable. The light weight and its size make driving nails a breeze. Overall a big step up from a bargain box store hammer. Good for general use around the house for the do-it-yourselfer. Looks good too.

It’s a hammer! Pretty similar to other fiberglass handled hammers I have, but twice the price
When is a hammer worth twice the price of a similar one? I guess when it has a famous name on it. These are Arrow branded, which is a company that has been around for a long time (over 100 years), but it’s now owned by an overseas conglomerate, no longer American made. This hammer is very similar to a hardware store branded one I have. The finish is better, and you can tell more attention is paid to it, but at the end of the day, it’s a fiberglass handled 16 oz hammer that doesn’t function much differently. The Arrow hammer does have a plastic coating over the fiberglass, so it will provide some minimal protection from overstrikes. It’s got a grippy rubber grip that extends up the side to the top (but oddly not on the front or back of the handle, where it could offer more protection from overstrikes). It has a oversize flare on the bottom to prevent the hammer from slipping out of grasp. Over all, it’s a great hammer, but twice the cost of a comparable one. If you like the brand, then you’re going to pay about $10 for the privilege of having it printed on your hammer.

FinallyâA Hammer That Doesnât Feel Like a Workout
When I grabbed the ARROW 16â¯oz Claw Hammer with ShockâAbsorbing Fiberglass Handle, I was hoping for a reliable but easy-to-lift tool. My previous hammer was so heavy for me, and as a petite female, I wanted one that didnât wear me out. This one works just fine. Itâs sturdy and weighs enough to drive nails cleanly without wearing out my arm. It doesn’t have a magnetic nail starter like pricier models, but thatâs fine. I keep this hammer in my carâs portable tool carrier for everyday fixes. The fiberglass handle soaks up the shock, is lightweight enough for me, has a good grip, and is solidly constructed. If you want a hammer thatâs robust yet not wrist-wrecking, and you donât need bells and whistles, this ARROW hammer is a solid pick. Itâs dependable, portable, and just the right weight for daily jobs.

Best hammer for my household projects
I got this hammer to do wood working projects around the house. This hammer has been the best hammer I have ever owned. I have been putting this hammer to the test and it has out preformed every older style hammer I have. I love that the handle is rubber and very easy to grasp. The nail removal tool claw works very well for remove large and small nails. I tested this to remove some very large 4 inch nails and they came out pretty easily. This hammer has been a good hammer to have around the house and is a really good size for me. Most of my other hammers I have a wood handle so this hammer is a huge upgrade for me. I like this hammer because its a good size, not too heavy and easy to carry around with me on projects around the house. The grip of this hammer is also very well engineered as it forms very well to my hand.

Arrow 20 oz ripping hammer, comfortable.
This is a 20 oz rip hammer made by arrow. Arrow is a company that’s been around in America for near a hundred years, so it’s a very well-known and respected brand name. The construction of the hammer is typical of high quality hammers commonly found at many different stores. The handle is very comfortable and the head and the claw are precisely machine, as they should be. The best feature of this hammer is the nail holding magnet at the tip which makes it a breeze to start nails in wood especially in tight spots.Considering I can buy many similar hammers for a similar price, and those might come with the lifetime warranty. This leaves me a little bit less impressed with this tool as the majority of my life I have purchased craftsman tools which all come with a lifetime warranty. That doesn’t make this a bad hammer but just something to consider when you’re spending your hard-earned money. Granted it’s very difficult to actually break a hammer but nonetheless having a lifetime warranty is very reassuring, which is absent in this case.

Good general purpose hammer. Nothing special.
This is not going to end up in a professional carpenter’s tool bag. But for banging in the odd nail around the house, this works fine. The weight and balance are acceptable, though not great, and I was quickly able to hammer in nails straight and true. It’s a little heavy, and the balance is not great, but it’s also 20 bucks and worth that. Pretty much Harbor Freight quality, but without HF’s lifetime warranty.âï¸1 star â I don’t recommend it at all, poor quality.âï¸âï¸ 2 stars â I don’t recommend it: has multiple faults, or a very high price.âï¸âï¸âï¸ 3 stars â It’s passable: it has some faults, but the quality is ok for what it is.âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ 4 stars â Product quite acceptable, and it does what it promises.âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ 5 stars â Product that I totally recommend.
