All about 4X magnification with plastic lenses⦠itâs ok for my purpose.
Item was delivered with no issues. However, the listing states âlens materialâ as glass. Itâs not. Itâs plastic and the lenses rattles in the loupe when shaken. Anyway, I think I prefer plastic since I seem to drop my loupes all the time and a glass lens would probably shatter. So Iâm fine with this and the loose fit.As for the magnificationâ¦.the 5X, 10X and 15X are all about the same. Upon inspection, the magnification of the 3 seems to be about 4X. I compared it to an old 4X Bausch and Lomb loupe that i have. For me, thatâs fine. Iâve read that high mag loupes have a lot of distortion. All these are clear.The wire that holds the loupe to your eye is nice. I like that.So if you want 4 loupes in the range of 4X magnification, then get these. And the lenses are plastic.
