Excellent Laminate Flooring Cutter
First time laminate cutter experience, and it worked great. I was skeptical of how it would be able to perform, but those doubts were alleviated after I cut my first board. Cuts are clean and precise. You need some elbow grease and leverage on the arm, but when it cuts it does it well. Assembly was easy and there is also a blade sharpener block included. I didn’t use any of the angled cut markers so I don’t know how they perform, but I’d assume they are nice, clean cuts as well. Definitely worth the purchase price for the ease of use and it removes the need to make messy, dusty cuts in the room. My teen sons were helping install the flooring and they both loved making their cuts on this as well.

Laid about 1500sq ft LVP so far and no issues. I had 18mm vinyl, but still cut great. You’ll get a Cleaner cut face up. Angle cut grid makes a nice addition. I’ll probably need to replace the blade before the next job though. 2400sq. Ft total.

LVP is easy. Less so for 9.5″ 12mm Laminate planks.
I like the stout frame and handle. The frame is stout enough to put a foot on the plank to stabilize it. I like the easy-to-use angle guide – just drop in and it’s ready. It cuts LVP planks easily and fast. Not so much on the 9.5″ 12mm laminate planks I have from Cali Floor. Lots of pressure required to cut them and the plank end can be a bit crushed and deformed. Given the choice between my hand held jig saw and the cutter for laminate, it’s a toss-up. The saw is faster with less effort. On the other hand if I am working in an area where dust is an issue, then this cutter works. Since cutting planks is almost always done for ends that terminate at the wall, the crushing is a non-issue. I have discovered that top up works best. First I break through the floor surface then I do I quick cut down through the softer substrate layer. This seems to minimize the crush.

This little tool saved me. It made my cuts quicker, easier and more precise. I was doing a whole house of laminate so I decided to it was worth the money. Yes it was! I had no problem with the tool value, or cut quality.
