    Many hours and years of play with this kit;
    My son is 4 & any time we get Amazon boxes and go to get rid of them he always wants to keep them saying “no mommy we can make something out of those” which I absolutely love in him & have a feeling it’s because I’m rubbing off on him. However I don’t want him to be too much of a hoarder like his mommy. So when I saw this I thought omg I can bring that dream to life!!! Especially since we homeschool… This can fall into art class and science class learning .. heck even math & shapes! So for us it was a no brainer. Obviously there are small pieces & with a child that is only just over 4 like my son it requires the help of an adult. Which is fine! It’s fun for us to do these projects together. To watch his creativity come to life! They can make whatever they want with this! Pretty easy to use & enough pieces to make most things you can dream up if you think about size and amount of pieces before hand. The tools get the job done but he definitely still needs help and to be told and reminded of how to be safe with these type of tools. It makes him feel like a big boy & if they cut the cardboard any better well I would be worried about my child playing with it… So I’m good with it and I think it all works together really well for what it is. I would order again. We will get many hours and many years of play and learning out if this kit.

    A ton of fun for kids and dads too. Great way to introduce STEM and DIY
    These kits have been my go-to toddler present for years. This is probably my fifth one, and I’ll tell you, they’re always a hit. These make great presents for the active toddlers in your lives, and dads love them even more. I’m happy to report that this is a great, high-quality set, and is a great value for the number of pieces you receive.Think about that pile of Amazon boxes or even Chewy boxes that you have stacked in the garage. With these easy tools, it’s so fast to make tunnels and castles and DIY cutouts of dogs and mythical creatures for your kids to paint. The hinges make it so easy to add doors to an old refrigerator box. Shutters to a window, and the rivets and 90 degree supports make it seamless to connect boxes for an entire cardboard labyrinth.This is a high-quality version of the kit, and I really appreciate the number of connectors you get. Some kits skimp on those. You get:- 100 bolts + nuts (200 total)- 50 long bolts and nuts (100 total)- 32x 90-degree support connectors- 48 “axel” rings (hollow cylindrical spacers)- 16 hingesThat’s a lot, and the most that I’ve seen in one of these kits. The cardboard box that it comes in is very sturdy and will hold all of the pieces for years to come as well.One thing that was different about this kit compared to other ones I’ve used are the tools. Some of the tools did have a metal blade, but the tips were blunted. With some effort, I was able to scrape the skin on the back of my hand and break the skin, but it did take some work. It mostly just scratched the top. This is a parental supervision required activity, and I’m actually a fan of how sturdy the metal tools are, but it is something to keep in mind.

    Quality product
    Do you want to be the hero of the rainy day or birthday party? Show up with this set. I would have wanted this set when I was a kid instead of dull kitchen sheers or a box knife. I am confident an elementary school student could use this set with ease and have a great time. The kit comes with everything you need to build a fort or rocket ship once you have the cardboard. There are cutting tools and binding tools; I like that these all work together and there are anchors included as well. Keep a creation together as long as you like and then disassemble it; put the anchors away for next time. The kit itself is heavy duty for a child’s set. I just saw another set with the same purpose and it looked like a child’s toy – I’m not sure it would have cut through anything or held together two pieces of paper. Spend a little extra and get a set like this.

    Parental Involvement Required
    Like most of you (I’m sure), we get a lot of boxes that just head to recycling. Rather than wasting them, we thought this would be fun for the kids to be creative and build things.The early results are mixed. The children’s (butter) knife has trouble cutting. My kid is really going to town trying to cut it, but she’s not really able to – at least easily. An adult can easily cut this with the adult knife so while this is rated is 5+, it’s probably more like 7+.Obviously you’re not getting super tight fixing from the fasteners, but no unexpected challenges there.There are only a few suggestions on what/how to build. Would have been nice to have more options/general directions so, once again, you really need a parent to help figure out where the fasteners go. I’ll have to look online elsewhere for directions on what/how to build.Moral of the story? I give it a moderate endorsement. Younger kids (even if they fall within the age limit) still need a parent. Don’t know when this becomes too childish for a kid, but I’d probably guess this isn’t something you can just give to a kid to play with on his own until about 7 (maybe an advanced 6 year old).

    Best unique stem gift for a wide range of ages
    This is such a cool, quality gift for kids! I guarantee you whatever kid you’re gifting these to will not already have them. My kid is obsessed with every box that comes I’m this house. This set feeds their creativity, is open ended and STEM education all in one. The options are literally limitless with what they can come up with to create. In terms of quality it is nicely wrapped and the sturdy box looks nice. It also covers a nice range of kids ages because as they get older they can just create more complicated builds. They’ll end up wanting extra connectors and joints just to build more!
