Great kit from a great seller
I bought this Tongsheng TSDZ2B for installation on a Sun EZ-3 recumbent delta trike. The kit arrived on time and well-packed. Installation went as expected, though documentation with the kit was very minimal. Basically a tiny pamphlet showing how to install the motor and that was it. A manual with display settings would have been helpful, I was able to contact Greenergia and they sent me a link with the PDF for my model of display, so it’s all good.During the install I had a few questions and the folks at Greenergia were extremely helpful and quick to respond. They’re a top-notch seller IMO, and the next install I do will be a Bafang kit from the same seller. I was very impressed with their level of customer service. As far as the kit itself, it does exactly what it’s supposed to. Power is good, the speed is more than adequate for a trike and the parts all fit the way they should. The torque sensor works flawlessly, the display is nice and bright, even in the sun… No complaints here. On the trike, expect to cruise around 16 mph. It’s not a speed demon, but you don’t want that on a trike anyway. A couple of install notes: If you’re putting this on a trike you will need to fabricate a bracket to keep the motor from rotating in the bottom bracket. The one supplied with the kit works great for a two-wheel bike, but not a trike. I fashioned one from a flat piece of steel. Works great, but took some time to fabricate. Also – if you hook everything up and the motor behaves weirdly, check your speed sensor positioning and your multipin connector that branches from the motor to the speed sensors, motor cut offs, display, etc. My motor was randomly cutting out at first, but the folks at Greenergia advised me that the speed sensor to magnet distance should be 10-15mm. It was a lot closer and that was causing the error. I should have known something was up when the speedo was telling me it was going 61.8 mph. LOL. I also recommend plugging and unplugging the connectors a few times when you’re installing to clean any residue from the connectors. As long as you’re marginally handy and take your time you shouldn’t have a problem. And if you do, the good people at Greenergia will help you out.Great kit & great seller. I’m a happy camper.
