Excellent Choice Among Many Options
When I decided that I was finally going to buy one of these little cameras, I spent hours looking at all the various options. I finally settled on the 16â version of this camera.Iâm very pleased with my purchase.I wanted a camera primarily to look within my walls and stud cavities for running low voltage cabling. I’m not an ace with a fish tape, and this lets me find existing holes and obstructions. This works really well for that purpose, and in multiple (long) sessions it has been thoroughly reliable and satisfying to use.The camera focuses nicely from about 1 inch to infinity. The resolution and lighting are excellent (and the light level is adjustable). The side cameras are far more useful that I expected, and on my first use of the camera revealed something (a corrugated gas line) that I otherwise would have missed.I like the fact that I donât have to tie-up my phone to use the camera. The flexibility/stiffness of the cable seems to be âjust rightâ.Bottom line: this is a good, solid, choice. Nice unit. Easy to use. Highly recommended.

Excellent product, confirmed we have baby racoons and not poltergeist
Excellent product! Easy to use, the manual is helpful, so is the carrying case. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality and how well it works right out of the box – the SD card is ready to take photos, the connection to the cable feels very secure, the battery was still mostly full even though it sat on the shelf after purchase for 5 months. The light is very bright, too. While the interface is not exactly intuitive, the manual clarifies how to do things that are not immediately apparent: long press Ok to enter photo review mode, long press on “back” semi-circle button to switch cameras.We used it to determine that we have baby racoons and not poltergeist making thumping noises in our eaves. The quality of the photos was excellent, the picture I uploaded doesn’t do it justice! We taped it to an expandable pole for window washing for poking it through the eaves. Fishing line would probably work well, too. Even though the description says “semi-rigid”, it was hard to get it to go straight in the open space in the direction we needed. It may work better in the pipes, which is what we originally got it for and then never used as intended.The device would not charge with the super fast charger for my phone, I had to dig out an older charging block.Great value for the price, five stars!

Handy, But Could be Better
It works great. The build quality and ease of use are great. I just don’t like the video quality in low light. I used it to look over my AC evaporator coil. And, even though it did help me immensely to diagnose and fix a clogging problem with that coil, I was fighting hard to see images as they were quite grainy. So, I was wishing I had invested in a monitor with higher resolution using it’s own lights.But, like I said it was immensely useful as I saw and cleaned out much of the coil debris that built up over the years and it worked very well under tough lighting conditions. The two side view cameras and lights came in extremely handy to look at different views inside the air box of my AC unit.So, as a value for the money, yes, totally. If you have a bigger budget and need to use it more often than me, which is as a home maintenance application DIY guy, I would recommend one with higher resolution in the dark, under it’s own lighting. This unit is quite crisp in good lighting, but gets grainy under it’s own lighting.However, the unit more than paid me back getting otherwise impossible views of my coil. So it was money well spent and performed perfectly adequately for what I needed to do with it. So I guess it’s fair to say that it’s a good value for the price.

Already saved/made money using this awesome E-Scope
Aside form my Drs office, I don’t know a whole lot about endoscope’s but this one was recommended by another generator repair technician. (JC)With this DEPSTECH DS520 Tripple lens +16ft cable, I didn’t need to know anything. It’s easier to use than most of the cell phones I’ve owned. 1 forward camera, 1 side camera & 1 side camera that has an extremely close up view, that is you can get really close to the object with one of the side cams (see valve seat damage). I love the 1080 clarity and 5in screen. I haven’t used any of the probe attachments, other than the protective cap, yet but have use it to scope out this generator engine with a broken valve, saving me several hours in disassembly, inspection and sitting around waiting for parts to come in while the generator takes up valuable shop & workbench space. Just used it again today in a fuel tank to find the fuel level gauge in pieces & using my old 4 fingered grabber, got them all out. Another few hours saved by not having to remove the tank and shake the pieces out. LoL.It easily interfaces with my computer, laptop as well as my phone & tablet with an adapter (dongle?) Although videos didn’t work on the phone but I’m sure “it’s not you, it’s me” applies here, not a scope issue. Like I said, it’s easier to use than my phone. LoL. I’ll have to figure that out later.Also enough room in the case for MY charger, dongle & a their second shorter cord if so desired I’m sure.Hint/Tip:Charge it fully before first use, it may take a while that first time.Make sure the Camera Attachment Plug is securely in. (They were kind enough to send me an email reminding me of that)*Note: I wish there was an added screen protector, like for phones. I just worry about scratching it since all my engines have very tight spaces, very sharp corners, usually rounded tops. MrB Repairs.** 1 month update: I didn’t think I would be using this Scope as much as I do. Also Great for close-up belt inspection, underside of riding mower decks & around transmissions for a quick “Look-see”. As well as down the old trucks defrost vent to remove an old pen that’s prevented the defroster/vent selector from working right from the day I bought the old truck.
