Excellent Borescope – Great Resolution, Strong Light Control, and Perfect for Automotive Work
This borescope is way better than I expected for the price. The resolution is excellent, the light adjustment is spot-on, and for automotive use it does everything you actually need. Don’t get fooled by all those “360° rotation” gimmicks on expensive scopes — none of the cheap ones truly look backward a full circle anyway. This one realistically gives you about 180° backward view, and that’s more than enough to inspect valves and see exactly what you need inside the cylinder. For automotive work, this scope is absolutely enough — you won’t miss anything. No need to overpay hundreds of dollars. In a shop environment, a scope like this usually lasts a year or two under heavy use. And honestly, that’s the smart way to do it — buy this one, use the hell out of it, and in two years pick up whatever new tech hits the market, instead of dropping $500+ on something that’ll be outdated anyway and you’ll hate replacing.Great tool, great value, perfect for real-world automotive diagnostics.

Very high quality, high performing tool- best in class!
This thing works beautifully! The manipulation of the tip angle is smooth and easy, and it can turn around and look back at the hole it just came through. But what really surprised me is the depth of field. While the really precise focus is as described- and you can clearly see your fingerprints clearly in that range, the actual range that produces a clear picture is far larger. The first time I turned it on, I could clearly see people across the shop, even clearly read the clock on a wall 15 ft away.An exceptional benefit is the ultra-small diameter of the probe, only .21″. Most articulating borescopes have 8mm or .33″ cables. That not only reduces where you can get into an engine area, but it increases the minimum radius that the cable will bend to, and that limits the ability to reach and see what you want in many situations.Overall, everything works better than expected. The light, the resolution and focus and overall ease of use make this the best borescope I’ve ever used- and I do own 4 others. You won’t be disappointed.

    Okay for home use ..
Works well enough for home use and light Automotive inspections. The control buttons are a bit to get used to, with a good reading of the instruction manual a must. The picture is large, but can be a bit grainy and slow as the frame rate is only 20 fps. Then again this isn’t a top of the line model. The inspection cable is springy , wanting to stay straight, and conformal to staying stiff once bent into a position. Some fiber scopes are just totally stiff, and some are like wet noodles, well this likes to stay straight. The diameter does let it get into small areas. However mine as soon as it’s turned on in a 74 degree house, the digital temperature display says 97 degrees, and climbs from there if you use the LED lighting. I’ve seen it up to 115 degrees already, and the manual says it has a high temperature cutoff, so with an inaccurate temperature reading, I’m hoping this won’t effect operation or shorten its life.

Now I can see what’s in there.
I have thought many times about needing a borescope for one thing or another. I seemed to always get by without one. The stop plug on my bathtub got stuck holding the water in my tube and would not come back up. I decided its time to get a borescope. I did some quick research and decided on the Teslong Two-Way Articulating Borescope, 5.5mm Slim Probe. There are many to choose from. I liked the idea of the articulating camera and the .220 size. I was able to get this camera down the overflow to see the plug even past the lever, cover and linkage was still attached, but loose with the two screws taken out. I even managed to work the camera from the drain in the tub and work it 90° to see the stop plug in position. Bathtub drains are a very sharp turn. I could see the plug was most likely stuck due to hair in the drain. Knowing this, I knew I needed a paracord to wrap around the pin holding the plug lever to the linkage and give a good pull to get it out. It worked because I could see what was needing done. It also made getting the hair out of my drain much easier. The tool seems well made. The screen is very clear and the 5″ size is plenty big. If I have any complaints, I would say the buttons could be marked better to see. The buttons are dual purpose, depending on what mode you are in, so a card with a cheat sheet as to what the buttons do would be handy. I highly recommend this tool. I’m sure i will find plenty of uses for it. I highly recommend it.

Works great to inspect diesel engines through injector holes in head
This thing is awesome for the price. The slim version fits ram ecodiesel injector holes no issue, can insert into cylinder and look back at the head no problem. Awesome tool for the money, 10/10 would buy again

I’m very impressed with this scope. It has endless uses, sleek, slick, just what the doctor ordered. I had straight A’s on college electronics and computer engineering (3.98 GPA) and compared with the professional field, this scope speaks volumes. Like mentioned, it has endless uses. I own a machine shop, race cars, restore vintage cars, trucks, motorcycles, antiques, endless interests. And it’s awesome for scoping the rifle. I’m a professional Olympic style shooter, ambidextrous, and some of my high $$ Olympic match air rifles deserve a quality scope. Quality speaks for itself. Extremely durable, picture quality, super easy to use and charge via USB. I doubt you’ll find a better rifle scope than this one, for the money. Great for looking inside pipes for weld inspection, metallurgical inspections, the list goes on. I think you’ll be pleased with this fabulous scope.

So I bought this to suss out an oil leak. Found the oil leak, a leaking timing chain cover in the rear of the engine. Bummer. However, this awesome bore scope really saved the day in terms of me NOT having to pay a mechanic to suss it out. Since then I have used it almost weekly to suss out other issues, including home problem (found a dead mouse stuck in a vent pipe, damn we could have died from the backed up gas). So really, all I can say is not only has this bore scope paid for itself multiple times over, but maybe even saved our lives. So if you need one, get this one, extremely dependable and accurate and makes really crisp clear images and video. Well Done !!

I bought this unit because the probe is very small in size when compared to others and the articulating end.My Grandson had managed to drop a small part inside of his motorcycles engine and we used it to locate the apart and then extract it without disassembling the engine.Another thing I have used it for was to peer inside a ceiling to check for black mold (there was none) when a contractor insisted the entire ceiling had to come out and be replaced. That one use saved our condo corporation $8,000.000 because all it needed was a repaint versus removing and replacing the ceiling.

Good and quality product, Easy access to tight spaces . Did inspection of engine cylinders for my car without any issue, control & image quality is fair enough for the purpose of inspection.

The moment when you open the box on this articulating borescope, your expectations are set pretty high. The packaging is beautiful, with a nice glossy box that opens to reveal a really nice storage case for the unit. Inside the storage case, the borescope is presented to you in a very nice fashion, with the screen facing up, the cable wrapped around it and a USB charging cable included in the box. In the top of the storage case is a zippered compartment that holds the manual and some other documentation, along with a few packages of alcohol cleaning wipes for cleaning it off.Using the unit is pretty straightforward. On one side there’s a rubber gasket that conceals the charging port along with a microSD slot (which has a microSD card included). Along the face are a series of buttons including power, up, down, OK, an “M” button and a few other buttons that look like a “sun” (think brightness button icon). The functions of the buttons can be a bit confusing, since they seem to vary depending on whether you’re using the unit or just trying to go through the menus on the screen. It’s not super-complicated, but it takes a little getting used to and you’ll probably find yourself clicking the wrong button pretty frequently. There’s also a camera shutter button on the back side of the handle, in a place that’s really easy to reach when you’re using the unit (a nice touch, for sure). On the front of the handle is a lever, pulling or pushing it actuates a mechanism that causes the end of the borescope to articulate in a direction relative to how you move the lever. This mechanism works great, allow a long range of motion that can even let you look back on the cable attached to the borescope. When you’re using the unit, the buttons on the face allow you to do a number of things, including turning on the LED in the sensor unit so you can have light in dark places, zooming in on what you’re looking at and flipping the image (orienting the picture remotely can be challenging sometimes). One of the oddities of this unit is that if you flip the image then change the brightness of the LED, the image will flip back to its default orientation. I recommend using the borescope outside of a tight space (e.g. just looking at a room) to get used to how this works, since it can be confusing when you can’t see something immediately recognizable. The picture quality is excellent. I used it to take a look inside the central vac lines in my home (for the record, yuck!), and I was able to get a good look with no issue. The length of the cable on it is not super long at 5 feet, so you are a bit limited in what you can do in some cases. The documentation mentions that it’s IP67 water rated, which means resistant, but not water proof. I don’t know if I’d trust it in a watery drain (certainly not a clogged drain). It’d probably OK in one that’s draining slow, just to find a blockage. It also has a temperature sensor on it, and displays the temperature on the screen. It can be embedded in images, as well. Unfortunately, the readings on the temperature sensor make absolutely no sense. It never showed below 47 degrees Celsius in my home, and actually went up from there. I think the sensor is too close to the LED lights in the unit (or some other heat generating source), so gives a false temperature reading. If you’re looking for a decent borescope that will let you look in tight spaces that are less than five feet from an access point, this will do great for you. If you need the temperature sensor, or want something that’s good to use in flooded pipes, you may want to look at some alternatives.
