    Time saver
Worked perfectly. Stabilized the square well and sped up the process of marking stringers dramatically

    Well Made
Quality made and shape is perfect.I have used a few of these types over the years. The screw top is easy to grab and hold, turns very well.Wich means threads are cut nicely. When slid into place and tighten there was no slop at all and sat nice and straight.Even pulling or pushing on them they did not budge. The ease of use and fit are perfect for the size.Color is nice also. The carrying clip is a very nice add to keep them togetherand close were needed to. These would for sure do the trick for DIY or professional use.

For the price quite handy but questionable metal quality for long term 3.5 stars
I have no real complaints as these are quite handy for the price. What I will say is that with just a weekend of use rebuilding a deck using these as cutting edge guides mainly for my circular saw they are already showing some wear so I question the metal composition as they feel the same as my cheapo carpenter square which I have had for some time and a bit concerned about if I should order a spare set or maybe look at a higher grade similar product. For now they are fine and quite usable for my wants and needs but I tend to wonder about the potential longevity. That being said, for the current price of $8 I really can’t complain as I have already used that much value with them over one weekend while rebuilding a deck for my grandmother as I am not a carpenter by trade but more for fun and to save a few bucks when I can. The keeper bar with the carabiner clip is just a nice addition for keeping things from getting lost.

    No more lost stair guides!
To say that this is just a stair gauge for framing square with holder doesn’t do it justice. I get irritated when I think back to the multitude of these that I have had to purchase because one (or both) of them is lost or misplaced, rolling around in the bottom of some random toolbox, because they can’t be stored on the square itself. With this said, the holder has a hook on it that can be hooked to your tool belt or tool bag or elsewhere preventing them from gravitating anywhere. Should they get unhooked, at least the set will stay together via the holder.

Nice pair of Tall Stair Gauges for a framing square, comes with a holder.
This is a pair of Tall Stair Gauges for a framing square, quick square, or any flat steel straight edge or ruler. It comes with a holder with a mini carabiner. These can be used in many ways besides using them for stair gauges. They can be used for stops, for repeat measurements, angles, and used for an edge guide. These are made of blue anodized aluminum and have a knurled thumbscrew to tighten them in place . The carabiner appears to be made of stainless steel. These are well machined and have no sharp edges or flashing.

    Well made and great value
These work well on my 7″ and 12″ speed / rafter squares. They not only work for setting angled cuts, the deep dimension also works well for providing a good registration against the side of the work piece. These also work on my 18″ and 36″ carpenters squares. Those squares don’t have a lip, so using these, I can get a good registration against the edge of the sheet goods. Highly recommend these.

    Good quality square guides.
These clamps are made from aluminum and the knobs are steel with a nice knurling on them. It comes with a storage clip which keeps them organized. The clamps attach with ease and the hold securely to the square. This is a nice tool and offers good value for money.

    Good, but soft aluminum
I have had a set of standard brass stair gauges for a long time and they work well but wanted something a little taller for the occasional task that needs a little more depth. Overall these are nicely made, easy to use and the bar to keep them stored together is a nice touch as these are too big to leave attached to the square. So far they have held well but the aluminum is pretty soft and they are already showing some wear on the edges after only a couple of uses. I won’t get rid of these but if I were looking to buy again I would probably invest a few more dollars in a set made of brass.
