These are a unique set of stair nuts and if youâre like me and are always looking for your nuts when you need them, these might be your huckleberry. After decades of using the old hex nut style that were short and sometimes had you guessing in spots where your stingers were waned I was happy when they started making longer nuts. These have the length to catch good wood on 2x or 4x even with defects in your lumber. Machining is good and these stay put on my aluminum framing square. Come in a nice case you can slip in your bags but also have a very interesting way to store on a carabiner. These each have a very strong magnetic in which that rod inserts and holds them in place. Nice to be able to clip onto your tool belt intermittently so they donât get left on a workstation and get lost. Overall great quality and creative solution to the lost nuts scenario. Better than I expected and nice to have a solid tin case as a long term storage option.My grading scaleMy ratings are based on one or more of the following characteristics. Wow. Very impressed with the packaging for this stair gauge tool. Its a âToo Niceâ to get scratched tool. Solid construction with copper look. 7mm opening to attach to your angle square, rulers or circular saws. Magnet connectivity is strong enough and attaches to the tool before securing. Magnetic connections to carabiner pins is strong. The only thing cheap about this tool is the carabiner clip. Awesome beautiful tool. Great Work.

If you are a framer donât buy these. They will not work for doing stairs. The angle of the gauge throws off your measurements and stair angles
