This build was fun…a bit to easy.
This was my third Piececool build. It was extremely fun to build. However it lacked a bit of challenge. The difficulty was the fact it was was more tedious in parts than others. The pieces are beautiful and the coating on them is solid. The final product is stunning. The instructions are easy to followIf you are a novice with metal builds this a good start. If you have been doing these for awhile this a great piece to add to your collection.I am beginning to think Piececool is the industry standard for stunning metal models.

Challenging build, but an amazing product
This is listed as a puzzle, but I would categorize it as a model. It comes as 3 flat sheets of metal with die cut outlines of each piece (see pics on the product page). I am a very patient adult and this model tested that patience. I like models and am very mechanically inclined and this model took me around 8 hours. It was very tedious work, but the product of all that patience and effort is AMAZING. Looking at the finished product makes it hard to believe that this creature was built from flat pieces. I even went an extra step to curve and flare some of the pieces to give a more 3-D, life like appearance. Because the metal is thin, some of the areas that hold weight, like the base of the wings, are prone to come lose with only minimal force. A small dab of super glue solved that problem.I highly recommend this model to anyone who loves dragons and has the patience and dexterity to create one. However, this is not a model for a child.Great product and very happy with the results. This model is not

Got it as a gift. He loves it!
I got this for my brother who loves dragons and puzzles. He’s super excited.I was pretty surprised and impressed with how lightweight it is.Pros: • Lightweight, will be easy to move around.• Thin, easy to bend, necessary for putting together the pieces.• No need to paint, comes pre-detailed.• Great price! Especially for a cool project.• Super cool lookingCons: • Thin, easy to crush, possible to mess up when putting it together, you’ll need to be very careful. Could become sharp. Not for little kids.• Does not come with tools but does require them to put pieces together.• Due to the need to be extra careful with the pieces. It will take forever to put together. Which if you’re expecting is not so bad.My brother has promised a picture when he finishes but it may be awhile. I’ll try to update when I get the photo. If you’re looking for a project that’ll take up some time and you’re a super detailed person, this may be the thing for you.

    Great gift
Ordered as a gift for a relative. He was very happy with it. Some of the parts are small but manageable

    Fun build, cool display piece
I’ve been looking for a new type of building project besides getting Legos all the time so I decided to finally try one of these metal model kits.. I worked on it a few hours a time over the course of a week. It’s a very intricate and delicate process but isn’t too difficult one you get settled into the method. The finished product looks really cool. It super lightweight and feels fairly delicate, yet still sturdier than I would have expected. Some small hobby pliers are definitely a must, and I found a headlamp to be very useful as well. Magnifying glasses might be helpful too if you be them.Fun project, I’ll be getting more.

    Incredibly difficult to assemble!
Even using the “recommended” tools by the same company, it was difficult to assemble and I’m not finished yet – I still have to do the legs and “fix” some of the spikes! The needle-nosed pliers purchase from the company FOR these kits is still to broad at the tip in some cases. The little tiny tabs that have to be twisted or bent are so close to the edge of some areas that you have to “unbend” what you have done to be able to get a grip on them. Also, bending as described in the instructions is fine — if you’re making a box but with a cylinder, that type of bending won’t work. Only bending BACKWARDS back over the little slot will work to hold it.Even then, some of the spikes (three sides pieces that have tabs at the end will NOT hold, even doing the twisting exactly as described. I’ll fix those when I finish — using GLUE!Since this is a sculpture of a figure, there are many pieces of various sizes that have to be bent into a cylinder and some of them are very small. It’s not only difficult to bend but also to close. The construction is very hard on the eyes, even with magnifiers on! Those tabs are so small, it’s hard to even see them when they protrude through another piece to be bent/twisted.I’m somewhat enjoying myself so it still gets 3 but the difficulty of constructions is such that it could easily have been a 1 star. I’m taking a day off to rest my eyes today.

    Awesome fun model!
I love this dragon model! It was super fun and super frustrating, but I love challenges! I had to get one of them model makers magnifying headband things to work with all the tiny pieces, and man that was the best move for these kits. I broke a couple pieces here and there cuz metal fatigue is a thing unfortunately, but a quick little dab of CA glue and accelerator fixes things super quick. All in all, I’m hella happy with it and have several other models to put together now. Imma prolly check out piececools other kits, the knights and mechas are speaking to me I thinks.

    Very nice
This looks really good when it’s all said and done and put together. Took a little time to do since some pieces are small, you are going to want some needle nose pliers for these but other than that it looks wicked cool up on a shelf

Bought this for my 15 year old daughter. It took about 4 days for her to complete but she worked steadily and had a fantastic outcome. She used small needle-nosed pliers, nail clippers and a pin. She found it ‘fiddly’ but not frustrating or unpleasant. She’s very pleased with her dragon and asking for another.

Poorly designed, there are parts where you have to fold them in to secure them but that blocks off other parts altogether.Instructions are confusing and contradictory in multiple steps. Quality of the parts is quite poor, several parts broke very easily.
