   Good bargain
   I haven’t had this long enuf to see how it holds together over time but so far, a wonderful tool. It’s lightweight, handles well and it *works*! No more scrabbling for that end piece stuck to the roll and coming up in pieces. Comes pre-loaded with a roll of tape.

   As tape dispensers go, this one was pretty easy to useAnd was a good price. Small size makes storage easy and my teenagers figured it out pretty quickly. It saved me a lot of time

   Tape Gun – This is the one to get
   This tape gun is perfect for sealing any package – residential or commercial use. It says it might work on some heavier reinforced tapes but I have only used the tape gun to seal packages with the standard clear sealing tape (1 roll comes with the tape gun). I use my tape gun all the time, and lost mine (I think a grandson “borrowed” it “=) ) and was lost without it. When I received this one, I was thrilled as it was exactly the same as my previous one (I had debated whether my previous one was 2″ or 3″) and fortunately I ordered this 2″ one. A 3” would only be needed in heavy duty commercial use. The only drawbacks (and definitely minor and inconsequential) was that the box does not have the name, address, phone number or email address of the company. I thought that was strange (They are a company in Southern California). The instructions for threading the tape are not clear and, had I not had a tape gun before, I probably would have had difficulty in threading the tape. The Amazon page has a pretty good description on how to thread the tape. Also the tape gun comes with a black bar covering the cutting blade. This bar has to be removed before the first use, but the instructions on the box does not mention to black protective bar. This is a great tape gun and I know anyone who gets one will be very happy with it.

   Better than our old one
   Packing to move, we kept running into the other using the tape gun in the opposite end of the house so decided it was time to get a 2nd one. I think I got our original one about 20 yrs ago when I needed to seal boxes when I started selling my used pc gear on eBay. Not sure why I selected this particular model other than decent reviews, reasonable price and it came with a roll of tape. Turns out it’s nearly exactly the same as the old one, plus this one has screws to replace the blade if ever necessary. The old one has rivets so a pain to change blade, but after 20 yrs it’s still sharp enough. This new one is very sharp and I expect it will also serve us well for 20 yrs as well. The tape that came was a bit thinner than the 3m multipack we got at Costco – it’s not terrible, works fine on our boxes, but has a bit of odd odor. We used it up in a day and the odor seems to have dissipated after the boxes sat in garage until packed in the container. I’m really happy with it, helped us be more productive over the past several days as we prepared boxes to store in a PackRat container for our upcoming move.

   Would purchase again (and the tape it comes with is decent)!
   Works exactly as you’d expect. The tensioner allows you dial in the tension quite perfectly. And, although I expected the included tape to be total crap, it was 100% perfect for taping boxes for my move. Would purchase again.

   Easy and a fit for the larger rolls.
   It is what it is but some do not hold up (I have had one or two of these) and work well – but this durable dispenser definitely works as you would expect. I highly recommend and it is well worth the money.

   Gets the job done
   The Pacific Mailer Tape Gun gets the job done but falls short of expectations. The side loading feature occasionally jams, and the gun is heavier than expected causing fatigue during extended use. However, the tape quality is good, and the gun is sturdy and comes with a roll of tape.Overall, the Pacific Mailer Tape Gun is a decent product, but there are some minor issues that make it less than perfect. It may not be the best option on the market, but if you’re looking for a reliable tape dispenser, this one will work.
