Strong and sturdy
These nippers are by far the best nippers out there. I tried all types from Home Depot and Loweâs and had to return them all due to them breaking before my small tile project was even complete. I seen these on YouTube used by a woman claiming they were one of the best she has used. I love it! The handle is easy to hold and grip. You donât have to apply much pressure when nipping the tiles. They nip easily. I recommend this tool over all the ones at the local store! Best investment

Compound Is Better
I purchased these nippers when starting on my third tile bathroom. Man, I wish I had found them sooner! They are sooooo much easier to use than the cheapie, non-compound ones I got at Lowes. These didn’t hurt my hands and no blisters.I have a wet saw, too, which I use for all the big, straight cuts. But for curved cuts or for cutting small tiles, a tile nipper is essential. There is a learning curve, and I suggest you purchase a couple of extra tiles to practice on if you haven’t used nippers before. I have also found that scoring the tile where you want the cut first (with a scoring tool) gives me almost perfect results! As another reviewer mentioned, take small “nibbles” rather than trying to nip off a big chunk. Once you get the hang of it, these nippers let you work quickly and accurately without the hand fatigue.

Tile nippers in general are no fun
i dunno how well this one rates compared to other ones. I used it on ceramic tile, and it was honestly no fun at all. took quite a while, and then right when you get close to the end the tile has a tendency to just crack wherever the heck it wants to.Remember though, that is the nature of the beast right? As a product, there is nothing wrong with this one, but in general the whole idea of nipping ceramic sucks….

Work Great
These nippers work great and are easy on your hands- if you know what you’re doing. They aren’t meant to take 1/2″ off at a time- nippers aren’t in general. I’ve now used these on both ceramic (12×12″ tile) and resin (3/4″ mosaic) and they worked great. The mosaic tile was 1/4″ off on total height from what I needed so I ended up nipping an entire row of 3/4″ mosaic resin tile around the kitchen down to fill the gap. They work great on larger ceramic tile as well, but as with any nipper you can crack the tile if you take too much off at once. My only complaint is that the latch for them tends to slip and get in the way, impeding progress when you can’t open them up without flipping it. It’s easily removed though and I recommend doing just that.

Mosaic Work? not for Plates.
If you are doing mosaic work and want to cut up dishes (plates for example), then these are not the right tool. There is a spacing too wide in the bite of the nippers. The nippers need to close almost completely in order for them to cut dishes. For regular tiles its exactly right. Also I want to mention that these are not made for a woman’s smaller hand. Oh well. I was disappointed with the product but it was not the nippers fault. I will keep looking for the perfect nippers.

Don’t Squeeze Together Far Enough
These came in handy for cutting off small chips of tile. The handle is rubbery, comfortable to hold, and long enough to provide leverage for cutting. It’s not hard to make small tile cuts even for someone like me who is not that strong. The one annoying flaw I found was that if you have a tiny chunk of tile that you need to knick off, they don’t squeeze together far enough to cut it. I had to use a wet saw several times to grind off tiny chunks of tile. I wonder if this “flaw” is a actually a safety feature designed to protect you from accidentally cutting through your skin — ??

Nips Tiles Cleanly and Easy to Use
I’m a woman with small hands, and I was nervous to use the Compound Tile Nippers initially, thinking that it would be too difficult for me to hold a tile in one hand while trying to nip it with this thing in my other hand. It was a great surprise to find that using this tile nipper was so easy! With little effort, I was able to nip the tiles into the shapes I wanted without exerting a lot of force. The cuts were clean, and this nipper was really easy to use. I’m beginning to think I need to find more projects that utilized tiles soon! Highly recommended.
