Looks Nice and Works Well
I never know what to expect when I order things online but this product was nice. It looks nice. I like that it isn’t round which would make it stick out. It is rectangular and flat so it sits against the wall. We used all winter and it held up nicely. They pieces are sturdy. I would recommend it.

The base & the brush came distorted
I picked up this Lizh Metalwork 5 Piece Black Steel Fireplace Tool Set because I recently replaced my old fireplace screen & this tool set is almost an exact match to the new one. That said, I really wanted to like this. Unfortunately, there are a couple of problems. The brush is not flat but rather somewhat bent & distorted. The base is also distorted (it is hollow & a quarter of the weight of my old tool set) so it doesn’t sit flat & the slightest touch will make it rock.

Pretty good set
Quick and easy assembly. I didn’t need the instructions although it is nice that they were included and they look clear to me. If you are unsure, the base piece is meant to be a stand, not a tray.I’ve been using the tools for a few days and everything functions as intended. I especially like the 3-finger log grabber, this helped me a great deal when I needed to reposition a log that didn’t fit as expected in the wood stove and it worked much better than the 2-finger grabber in my old set.My main criticism is the tool length. These are only 23″ overall, a good 6″ shorter than the set they are replacing. If you have a large wood stove or a deep fireplace, grab a tape measure and make sure this will be enough for your needs. My other criticism is that the coating on the stand had a chip in it on arrival. So, I worry whether the coating might fail prematurely.The set this one replaced was our second with failed handle attachment points so seeing that the handles on these are part of the shaft and cannot fail in the same way is an appealing feature. I am hopeful for better longevity of use.

Very Sturdy, Well Made, Simplistic
These fireplace tools are very sturdy, they work well, and though we haven’t used them all, I’m sure just from inspecting them, they will all hold up well and do the job they are intended to do, quite well.They are heavy, well built, secure in their rack, well presented, sturdy, and seem to be high quality. So far they are holding up perfectly, and from what I can tell, will continue to do so for years to come.I would recommend these for anyone who wants utilitarian tools to use with their fireplace.I guess the only reason I almost took a star is they’re just not very decorative. They’re just exactly how they look in the picture, so I don’t know that I can put my finger on it, but they just seem very plain and simplistic. The set is very compact and very efficient, though – good quality, well made, and they seem quite durable.In fact, I can’t really say what it is that’s missing, because they really do have everything pictured, I think it’s my failing in not choosing something more decorative, if that’s what I wanted.So – five stars, and I do recommend this product. Just check the picture to make sure the simplistic style fits in with your room.
