Amazing,Amazing, Simply Amazing…….Best Quality Tools in the World
The tools are of the highest quality in the world. When I first bought my set I second guessed myself and thought it was a little expensive. But it was worth every penny. Amazing precision cutting, beautiful chrome finish, insulated screwdrivers to near tip provide extra safety and rated up 1000 volts resistance. If you thought your regular Kliens provided you with safety, multiply that by a million. The grips feel wonderful as if they mold inside your hand and provide incredible comfort and holding power. The channel locks are like no others that I have used. They are etched out in a way that makes it nearly impossible to strip what you are turning. Would have loved the other pushbutton lock in place channel locks also made by Knipex instead, but the quality in these are unchanged. The Cable cutters precision on it machining is impeccable. Also found a great use for cutting tie wraps flush with it. Extremely sharp will cut any cable with very little ease. The swivel design is just amazing engineering. A multitude of screwdrivers from the small flat head that I utilize to repair controls, to the square bits for easy panel opening. you’ll be hard pressed to need more. The only tool that I thought had a downfall were the dykes . On these particular cutters the point is slightly flat. I’m presuming to prevent idiots from stabbing themselves, but the pointed ends, like the ones on the Kliens provide a greater use. Another downfall on the Knipex tools are that their are no indicators to really tell what’s what inside your tool bag when they are upside down. Easily solved by a permanent marker of which I have marked capital letters on the ends to identify the tools. L for linesman, + for Philips, etc. etc. You can also (additionally/instead) hit the ends with a small amount of spray paint for quick color coordination. But for now the letters work great. This set, besides the lack of a stripper (Highly frowning on you Knipex for that mistake) is a full complete set for a wide range of uses for your typical Electrician .So in conclusion. A Knipex compared to the highly used great quality Klien tools, is like a brand new Lamborghini compared to a BMW. Both are nice but there is only 1 that’s the best. You will love these tools, just keep them locked up because once you buy them, all of your coworkers will be envious. Btw there is a smaller 7 piece set that is almost 100 dollars less, great steal if it is available to you, and this one is out of your price range.

Knipex tools are the best and a premium price is too be expected but the case suppled with this kit is a huge letdown considering the price. Not the end of the world.

Quality Germain Made Tools
Knippex has made a quality insulated set at an affordable price. All tools are quality hardened steel and precision manufactured. Insulation seems quality and would trust my life with it. These tools will last a life time. My only complaint is the lineman pliers. For some reason they don’t feel right to me and I feel clumsy with them in my hand. Knippex makes different styles which I do prefer. Klien is still the best in that department though. Overall a great buy!

10″ Alligator Water Pump Pliers (88 08 250 US) **FAILED** No Warranty
The top jaw cracked and failed under reasonable pressure. I tried to file a claim and it was denied. Apparently this premium product does not have a warranty beyond Amazons 30 day. So Craftsman has a better warranty. Very disappointing. Would not purchase again.

Awesome tool set.
I bought this tool set about five years ago to leave in the house for odd jobs. I got tired of running out to the shop all the time. Now when I’m working in the shop, I’ll frequently go back to the house to get the set. I can’t imagine how these tools could be any better designed or made. Every time you pick one of them up you’ll get the warm/fuzzies.

Voy a dar mi punto de manera objetiva haciendo una comparación con modelos de pinzas similares adjuntando el modelo para mayor referencia, considerando además que el uso que les he dado nunca ha excedido las especificaciones técnicas del fabricante.⢠El set es realmente agradable a la vista y al tacto, bastante cómodo, la calidad de los acabados metálicos es impresionante.⢠La pinzas de corte (diagonal, combinada y cizalla) tienen un rendimiento notable, son durables, a tres años de uso ocasional no se les ha desgastado el filo (habrá que ver cómo se desempeñan con el uso diario).⢠Las pinzas de extensión alligator tienen excelente sujeción, en mi opinión, poseen mayor agarre para tubos en comparación con las IRWIN 2078112.⢠Los destornilladores son cómodos y resistentes a la torsión, he realizado numerosas instalaciones y armado equipos, las puntas soportan bien los aprietes algo âexcesivosâ.Desventajas:⢠La sensación de suavidad de corte de alambres de Cu o Al es un poco brusca, se siente como la mano absorbe un poco el impacto, con la pinza combinada se requiere mayor brazo de palanca para cortar un cable de Al 6 AWG en comparación con GEARWRENCH 82181C (aquà la comparación no es justa porque esta pinza es de mayor longitud, por ende, mayor brazo de palanca) ó Truper T200-7X (sÃ, esta pinza de menor longitud corta más fácilmente ese cable).⢠El filo de corte de la pinza combinada se desgastó en los primeros usos, si embargó, no empeoró, se mantuvo.⢠La pinza de corte diagonal conserva su filo, aún asÃ, se requiere menor esfuerzo de corte con una pinza GEARWRENCH 82179-06.⢠La pinza âcizallaâ provoca un efecto de contra-carga a la mano cuando cortas cables de gran calibre.Conclusión: Este set de herramientas es durable, aunque los filos se desgastaron en los primeros dÃas de uso, no se han vuelto a desgastar más (tal como se observan en las fotos, siguen manteniendo el filo), no considero que sean “TAN DE ALTA PALANCA” como menciona su publicidad (la mano sà detecta un poco más el efecto de impacto de corte con en comparación con otras pinzas del mismo diseño pero de otras marcas), aun asÃ, recomiendo el set, por el hecho de ser durables, estar aisladas y porque la sensación del tacto en los mangos es realmente cómodo.

I heard many positive things about knipex but i never tried had the chance to try them. The price is a bit pricey however the quality is top of the line. Cutters are very sharp and cuts with ease, the feel is comfortable, and many more positives. The screwdrivers however seem to lack the quality I was expecting. The magnet tip is weak and the screwdriver seems to bend ( this could just be a defect in the product I got ). Overall good quality tools
