    Works well
These work really well. I would recommend not getting them wet and then allowing them to dry out either by air or in a clothing dryer. Just let them sit for a few days and then work with the material.

True to advertised size without wetting to expand.
Excellent! True to advertised size. I read the reports indicating that because of the vacuum sealed packaging that the foam would not return to it’s advertised size. Mine was received in the advertised size even though it was in a vacuum sealed package. I am using this for my gunsmithing tools which I like to keep in good condition. All pieces are to pick and pluck form.

    Large squares – too large
The foam squares are large. Like 1/2” large and don’t match the foam I have in my existing case. Because they are so large, they can’t be “form fitted” to items I need to carry. The item ultimately ends up bouncing around. I had a little trouble getting the foam out of the package and ended up cutting it in the middle of one of the sheets rendering it unusable. I’ll know better next time when I order more from another company. I was also surprised by how flat they were upon receipt. After an hour the four sheets had only swollen to 3/16” and I sat, depressed trying to figure out a way to get them to return to their original intended size. I researched on the World Wide Web also known as the internet and discovered I would have to soak them for a short time and then wring out the water. Then I had to let them sit for 24 hours and Shazam – they had swollen back to their original intended size. So at least that was good news. Now we’re getting somewhere. I will say this, the density was pretty good. I’m sure they would offer good protection if only they were smaller. Too bad I can’t get them to nestle up against my tools because of their large size. I feel they are priced a little high and even though they are easy to use and would offer good protection, I’ll keep looking.

    Product dimensions misleading
The product height measure (e.g. 2 inches) is not accurate. Seller compresses foam for shipping. It does not decompress fully. Edges are also misshaped. If you need accurate pieces for your project, don’t purchase this.
