Wow tool bag!
Okay, first of all the tool bag is amazing!! Like, you could use it for real tools amazing! It is very good quality and very roomy. I was initially not that impressed by the tools or the âwoodâ because they looked cheap and fake, but they actually work really well with the screws, nails, and wood. They pound in just like real nails and screw in like real screws. Perfect for my three year old. It ended up being a good thing that the tools were lightweight because he of course hit his thumbs few times. He had the time of his life nailing these together! I wish they had real instructions for things to build. They included some basic drawings but we tried to follow them and it was super hard to follow and didnât work that well. That is the only thing Iâd improve though (well and maybe coloring the wood to look more real) but overall very impressed. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

Slightly disappointed
The tools are made of very lightweight plastic and i feel may not hold well. I bought this for my grandson who is 4 and he is very strong and active. The foam wood is fun and easy to work with but not enough of it. Need to order more already. The tool bag is very nice and of good quality. Would not order again.

Great open-ended fun and learning for all young builders!
This was exactly what I was looking for. My 5-year-old daughter always wants to build things, based on her own ideas. So we needed an open-ended play set. This is perfect – the tools are just right (not too babyish, but not adult tools), I don’t have to worry about her accidentally hurting or cutting herself, and they work great on the foam “wood”. The tool bag is such a nice bonus, it’s great quality and keeps everything together. It’s also great for her to learn about nails vs screws, and how hinges work. I’m sure we’ll be getting the foam refill set. However, we can also easily take apart her creations (if she wants) and reuse foam pieces/nails/screws etc. It was fun to do together, from drawing out a “plan” of what we were going to build, then showing her the basics of measuring things, or making sure all 4 “wheels” were the same thickness, etc… lots to learn here while having fun. Great gift for the little builder in your life!

Not what I expected….
Directions are hard to follow for building items, very small print and items not numbered. The overall quality was fair, all plastic tools and foam material to build with, The the carrying pouch was very nice and sturdy. Not sure I would buy this again.

Huge “hit”.
This was a gift that went over big! Be careful as the saw will not only cut the pretend wood, but also cardboard and I would think it may cut/scrap fabric on your furniture, such a leather. The hammer cracked within a few days, but it was put through the test, so to speak. I don’t actually know that most kids would hammer as hard. I felt it is worth the money. The pretend wood is such a fun item and the bag makes it “real”.

Children’s STEM Educational Materials and Tools to Build Toys
My grandson is delighted with this Christmas gift. He made a number of the toys right away. Luckily I bought and received the extra box of materials with my original order. Currently the extras are unavailable due to popular demand. This is a creative scientific gift with good plastic tools, nails, nuts, and bolts and foamboard for the “wood”. I recommend it. I’ll be sending my grandson refills for the materials ASAP.

Plastic tools are very poor in quality. Came broken and broke with first use.
The only thing good about this purchase was the tool bag it came with.The plastic toys are very poorly made. Dollar store quality.The measuring tape broke with its first use and the pliers came broken.For the money it cost to purchase this I am very unhappy.I really like the idea of this and my daughter enjoyed building with the styrofoam and plastic nails but it isnât worth $40.

He helped and although it called for screws (well, I’m not sure because the diagram is non-specific on the parts used), my son drove his first nail. Sometime in the anxious moments of criticizing myself for this “lousy” choice, it was occurring to me that for this 3 year old – who rattled off a dozen things he was building – it was pretty awesome. Next time we play, Dad is going to grow up and realize this is his gift, not mine.
