    Great tools for a great price
    This was a very inexpensive purchase that works well for the hobby wood-turner. Inertial sanders can be tricky to use and have a high learning curve, so don’t expect miracles ;)The 1″ and 2″ pads are nice for switching between small bowls and larger turnings, and being able to use a hard pad or soft pad makes the tool very versatile. The Dura-Gold sandpaper is of good quality; I’ve used their sandpaper in the past and it cuts well, is easily cleaned, and lasts for a sufficient amount of time.I’ve not used the tool enough to know how long it will last, but understand that it is intended to be used with very light pressure (like with any sanding, if you are pressing very hard you are not letting the tool do the work). I think it would be easy to replace the bronze bushings if they ever fail, and the other parts could be fixed as well.Overall, I think this inertial sander kit is a great bang for the buck.

    Fit and finish is not perfect. It’s just a tad rough in the hands, not as refined as a high end tool. BUT, in use, it does a great job. You have to work with it a bit to get the hang of inertial sanders if you aren’t familiar with them. But once you get it, this turns smoothly/quickly and does a great job. It was the cheaper of several offerings on amazon when I bought … I can’t think of what that extra money would have gotten me that I care about … great tool, great value.

    Dura-gold bowl sander
    Easy to use to sand bowls turning on the lathe. Comes with extra sanding pads, two sizes, from 60 to 320 grit. Pads are easy to put on but are velcroed on so a little tough to pull off, which is good because they won’t come off while sanding. Only used the sander a couple times but very satisfied so far.

    Bigger than it looks
    This thing is huge and not adjustable. I purchased it so that I could reach far into deep vase turnings. The radius is far too big to fit in anything narrower than 5 inches. I like the length and it seems well built, but the mechanism does not allow a tight fit.
