Gets the Job Done Well Enough
My use case: measuring slices of pie in a small bakery. It works fine. It’s easy to turn on by accident if you put it in your pocket, so i tend to pull the battery unless I’m at work actively using it. Hinge has a tiny bit of play in it, so make sure the arms don’t shift half a degree or so when marking. The ruler on it isn’t the most useful. On one arm, the display obstructs about the first two inches. On the other arm, the ruler is either backwards or upside down depending on whether you’re holding it so the display is on the left or right. Finally, I almost threw it away because it was giving nonsense readings for a while. I thought I’d gotten it wet or something, Nope. Just before tossing it in the trash, I decided to swap the battery out. The battery was dying. That was the only problem. Changed the battery, and it’s been working as intended ever since.

    Perfect
I just received this and tested it out. It arrived with a battery installed but would not turn on. That gave me some concern. It also came with a new sealed battery. Once I installed the new battery it powered right up. I tested it for the accuracy against some precise speed squares that I have and it was 100% accurate. You can lay both blades on a flat surface and “zero” it out to reset the starting point. I also like that it automatically turns on when you spread the blades apart. Unless it dies or the accuracy diminishes, neither of which I expect, I think this is a purchase is a great value.

For a Few $ More, Far Greater Resolution and Accuracy
An angle gauge can be used to simply replicate and transfer an angle so it can be reproduced. A gauge can also display the actual value, to verify the correct angle has been obtained, when creating something new. This digital gauge can do both. For a few dollars more than the analog versions, the digital version covers all the bases. The gauge was verified against other devices and produced the correct value repeatedly. Holds the measurement electronically and mechanically. Construction and appearance means user’s technique or skill isn’t likely to affect measurement.

    Pretty darn good.
Works really well. I bought this for setting angles on my bandsaw, and it does the job nicely. One thing to note is that you need to press the “hold” button BEFORE you tighten the locking mechanism, or it will mess up the digital reading. Otherwise, it’s a really good product.

Don’t waste your money on this one.
Used this for a while and it worked great. Now it won’t work even with a new battery.
