   Good scope with some limitations
   Overall a very good scope if you understand its limitations. Picture is very clear within its optimum focal range of 5cm to 10cm. Gets fuzzy very fast when moving in closer than 5cm. Clarity beyond 10cm is acceptable to about twice that distance. The hook accessory works very well but the 90-degree mirror and magnet accessories leave a lot to be desired. The mirror provides a very small field of view and creates a distracting lens flare around the edges with the light on. If you need a side view one of the larger two-camera scopes from this company would be a better choice. I bought the scope primarily for looking inside walls for electrical and plumbing problems, so the smaller size and greater focal distance of the single camera model works better for me. The magnet accessory works great as long as the light is turned off. But most of the time you are going to need the light to see where you dropped something. However, with the light on, the glare from the back of the magnet causes the area around the magnet to go dark. It remains to be seen if painting the back of the magnet black will fix this problem.Even with some limitations, the Depstech 5.5mm endoscope is a better value than many other scopes costing much more. And since most other scopes in this class are 8mm or larger, this scope will go places where others won’t.

   Excellent customer service from Depstech!
   I got this Depstech DS300 endoscope/boroscope to allow me to see into very tight places as it was surprisingly inexpensive. It takes clear photos or videos inside pipes or walls or anywhere you can stick it. I found it to be very useful for over a year and a half, then I got a “no signal” message. I contacted Depstech by email to see if they could tell me how to correct it. They said it couldn’t be easily fixed and was within their two year warranty period which I wasn’t even aware of. They immediately sent me a new unit that was at my doorstep within two days! I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service.

   Good value, mediocre durability, good service
   Edit: after posting this, depstech reached out and offered a replacement at no charge, so I am happy with their customer service.I have used this on and off for 6 months as an electrician, sticking it in holes in the wall and using it to help fish items. The camera is very nifty, and the price point is good for all you get. Far cheaper than brand name contractor stuff.The camera/screen is plenty good enough for what I do. The light on the end will light up 1-2ft of space in front of the camera, usually sufficient. The cord is a bit flimsy though.On that note, I had a premature failure of the light, it seems the wires pulled apart from the end bit while flexing the cord. So the camera still works, but now it has no light. Depstech has sent me a new unit, hopefully that holds up better.

   For the price this is amazing. No problems, it just works. Don’t know about battery life yet, I hope it doesn’t die too soon, but I don’t use it much. Really helpful when you need it.

   Performs as Described
   Relatively cost effective; reasonably priced and all the features needed. Set-up and use are easy. Effective use requires practice. Translating what is being seen in that “mouse access” point is challenging until perspective is mentally adjusted, “Oh! That’s only 3 inches.”

   Great product.
   AWSOME, we use this product to check for our mysterious check engine light on and smell of fuel leak, I can see the fuel dripping down after I parked in the driveway. Using this product, I can see there is fuel on top of the fuel tank then I remember we just had the fuel pump replaced about a week prior to this happening so back to the shop and we show them with this scope. Thanks for recommend the product.

   After 2 years of use I wish I got one with better image quality
   My thoughts after two years of use.The picture quality is not the best. Ive used it for checking engine cylinders, interior wall cavities, inside plumbing and other things and I’m often wishing that I had bought a different one because the poor image quality.Have I been able to make use of it? Yes. As an example, I have been able to use this to confirm if there is carbon buildup on a piston. However, could I clearly see the cross hatching on the cylinder walls? NOThe cable length is great and it is sturdy and durable. I’ve dropped it a couple of times and it’s held up fine. Battery seems to last a decent amount of time also.If I was to do this again I’d try a different, maybe slightly more expensive one and hope the image quality is better.

   The camera worked well for about 1 1/2 years. After that the camera failed, contacted to company for assistance. They responded promptly and provided warranty for the camera.Excellent customer service!!

    This endoscope camera is a massive timesaver for me – the device can be held in one hand and the camera “steered” with the other.The illumination and image quality is perfect for finding the position of electric circuit cables and junction boxes in ceiling spaces – on one kitchen fitting job it has paid for its cost in time saved, after all, time is money at work. The best focus point is in the 10-20cm range, but it is good enough to spot a junction box more than a metre away that you can then accurately “fish” out with the bent coathanger tool.The camera and semi-rigid cable is waterproof – which means that it is easy to wipe clean of dust with a damp cloth after use.This also records video and stills to a micro-SDcard that I can remove and upload to my laptop and send to clients to explain my work. As a bonus – you can mark the images with date and time.In the box you also get a 90-degree head – to look at the sides of tubes/pipes – but even more useful is a magnetic head that can be used to pick up small metal objects dropped behind structures that would take time and trouble to take apart – think of the time needed to dismantle an engine project to recover a bolt dropped into an engine block!Recharging has proved easy – as it can be done with my phone charger….that means, for example, in the car driving between jobs.This comes in a tough cardbaord box – and now travels with my work tools as it can turn a difficult challenge into a straightforward and predictable work job.I strongly recommend an endoscope camera – and I rate this “all-in-one” device over a plug in mobile phone type. I rate this at 5-stars and wojld be happy to get this device again.

    Very easy to use to access a very restricted area in the foundations of the house, easy to record playback and take photos. I’m sure this will be used for a variety of jobs, very pleased with the picture quality. Difficult to direct initially but this was due to our poor technique rather than the unit itself, soon got the hang of it. Good product for the price
