Great little kit but more appropriate for older kids
Lots of items included in this kit. The little box it all comes in is super cute but doesn’t open intuitively like literally every other tool box my kid has ever seen. This opens on the short ends by squeezing and then lifting. My kids can’t open without help (which is okay because of choking hazards for little one) and they can’t come up with ideas for projects on their own, either. Mine are little (5 and 2) and require a TON of hands-on guidance with this. Better for older kids (7-8) for SURE! We still have a lot of fun with this figuring out what we can build. The knife is serrated but somehow dull enough to not cut fingers (that’s a win!) but I still have to do the cutting since my 5 year old doesn’t have the coordination or strength to use on her own. We’ll get there. Overall, good way to utilize cardboard boxes in a way that involves kids and creative imagination. A look book or instructions that are geared to smaller kids might be nice.

The best cardboard kit I have ordered yet!!
This is a fantastic kit!! I don’t give out many 5 star reviews but this one really earned it for the following reasons:1) the screws are the best I have encountered yet due to several great features: the main stud is the exact same size as the punch, the screw tip has a unique starting thread (kind of thicker and a little arched to help get started and make a slot through the cardboard for the rest to thread through) but THE BEST PART OF THE SCREW IS that they left the very top void of thread, so when you go to join two pieces it pulls the second piece tight to the first one because it basically strips out on the first piece to pull that second snugly up to it then starts to tension!! The other screws we have from other kits have the thread go all the way up so if you don’t have the two pieces pressed tightly together when you start driving the screw they never really snug up (see photo for comparison of screws, yellow ones are from this kit)2) the cutter is awesome and comfortable to use! It is sharp, so make sure your kids are aware. It’s really handy for the size to cut small rounded holes or to drag along a ruler to cut all the way through in a straight line. The ring fits the forefinger for control.3) the punch combination screwdriver is very adaptable. You have two different tools, where you can separate the punch alone so one kid could drive screws behind you making the punches or you could each have your own tool. If you just need a screwdriver (hex head) then you can store the punch inside keeping kids safe from pokes. Very good design and big enough to actually put force behind. I tried on some thick double-wall cardboard and the tip did not deform at all!! (another kit I have the tip actually got blunt from that test).4) the brackets are pretty heavy duty and there’s plenty provided in this kit to get building!! They feature a little recess to help reduce the amount the screw head sticks out.5) the perforation tool is okay, nothing any fancier than any other kit but strong enough to do the job.6) In some of my testing with the gloves a slip of the cutter didn’t go through so they should fend off most injuries.7) the storage case, though basic and a little tricky to open, fits everything perfectly! AND because it is kind of hard to open will keep that sharp cutter or the punches out of small hands.Again, this really is the best cardboard kit I have found!! I really don’t know how you could improve this at all!

Great for my kid! Continues to entertain.
My kid has had this cardboard cutting tool set for a while and I must say this has provided plenty of entertainment and creativity for him. We do receive a lot of boxes and I am glad that the boxes are not entirely going to waste, because this set has ensured that his creative juices are flowing.My son is a bit on the older side, so the gloves are not necessarily needed, but the gloves don’t necessarily fit him either. The gloves are more appropriate for little kiddos. I feel that this can be safe without gloves for bigger kiddos.I wouldn’t say that these are the most durable tools in the world, but if your kid is able to understand his or her strength, these tools can last for a while. But if your kiddo is super strong and doesn’t seem to be aware of their strengt, I might feel that they might break.I am just grateful that my son has this and receiving boxes is not something that is in vain anymore.

Very fun, creative toy.
This is a very neat toy. My 7-year-old was so excited to use it. It functions really well. It does take just a little bit of getting used to but if you use these scoring tool first it makes it easier to cut with the cutting toy. I do think it’s mostly safe but would recommend adult supervision or involvement.

Super fun and creative!
I would absolutely recommend this set! I love that it comes with safety gloves that help prevent cuts because the saw is sharp! My 5-year-old forgot to put the gloves on once and cut her finger a little bit, not bad enough to cause any damage really but enough for her to remember to put the clothes on every time after. My kids have been having an absolute blast with this. We get lots of shipments and have lots of cardboard boxes laying around and have been trying to find fun things to do with them and this totally expanded on that. It’s an absolutely great value. I would say the quality overall is great. The only slight problem I have with it is the toolbox everything comes in is extremely thin plastic. We have since moved everything into a shoebox for storage, but overall every other piece is good quality. It comes with tons of screws and several tools including screwdrivers for the screws and a folding tool which is nice. The instructions were also very helpful. It’s not only fun for the kids but it’s also fun to meet to help them build, so far we’ve done a spaceship and a fire truck.

Great Quality and Super Fun for Kids
This cardboard cutting kit is an amazing set for kids who love to build and create. The quality is excellent, with sturdy, well-made tools that are lightweight and safe to handle. I love that the blades are not sharp, and the included cut-resistant gloves add an extra layer of safety. It is easy to use and encourages so much creativity, letting kids make anything from simple designs to more complex projects. The storage box keeps everything organized, and it offers great value for the price. Such a fun and educational way to spend time away from screens.
