   Perfect (metric) layout tool for dowel joinery
   This square is accurate and the added bonus was the hole sizes. These are the common dowel sizes (in metric) so it’s easy to check dowel pins and layout drilling locations for using a drill guide, jig or even free hand. I would love for them to make a larger one but very happy with this one for stock 4 inches and narrower.

   Seems nicely machined & plated, but more expensive than it should be.
   (I have the metric version.) It seems nicely machined and plated, but more expensive than it should be.With all of the features, it seems like it will be very handy though. (As others have noted, it is small.)Storage of the “angle pin”: They provide a rubbery O-ring to help reduce the likelihood that the pin will fall out and be lost. However, if I store the pin sticking through one of the holes, it gets in the way when using the square, so I have to remove the pin to use the square (& it could get misplaced that way). They should provide a clip to store the pin on the top of the square, where it won’t get in the way.I found a nice work-around though: The 3D square has a set of holes for gauging drill bits. The tapered pin just fits in the hole for gauging 7mm drill bits. I put a small piece of masking tape inside that hole to make the hole’s inner diameter a touch smaller. Now I can stick the pin partly in that hole and it stays there without going through to the other side where it gets in the way. So the pin is now safely stored where it stays out of the way! (I also tied a small string to the O-ring so that if it does fall, it will be a little easier to find.)
