They work great for stairs and for marking a lot of different prices with the same angle like on siding. Also the little carry clip is nice. Usually I lose one of my stair gauges because there so little.

Super handy to have on hand
These were super useful for marking and making consistent cuts with my circular saw. You can attach it to different tools while you’re working and use it as a reference for getting the same spacing each time. It is easy to use, thought quite small and I imagine we may end up misplacing it at some point, but hopefully not haha! Great addition to the toolbox and tools!

Very helpful little tool
This will be a really helpful in my DIY projects. when using a square or some other kind of measuring device in a project, this device allows you to lock in the position where you want that measure to be so that you do not move the measurer later on. With this, I like the fact that it comes on a holder, which is attached to a clip that you can hang from any surface for easy access. This also came in a pack of four with two gauges per holder. The color is really bright, and that will help find them as well, like me, your DIY project space can’t get a little messy.The material is heavy and seems to be fairly good quality. The locking mechanism when you screw it onto your Measure works really well and I have had no issues when using it. Once you’re done using it, you can screw the gauge back onto the included holding rod, which is then attached to the already mentioned holder clip. so far, so good

Mark instead of measure
I am a beginner woodworker, mostly doing projects around the house. I have learned that I prefer to mark instead of measure, and the PEATOVIE 4PCS Tall Stair Gauges are very handy tools in that endeavor. I haven’t yet done stairs and don’t have any plans to do them soon, but these are so handy because they attach to both my straight metal rule and my carpenter’s squares. They come as a set of four with a convenient holder so I can have multiple setups simultaneously. I love and use these.

Simple yet effective
This is a simple yet effective tool for creating the perfect stair tread. You just need a carpenter square and these gauges just clamp onto it. One for the depth and the other for the height. Super easy to use and gives you consistent results.

Tall Stair Gauges with Holder
Good price compared to others on the market. Holder is a plus and allows for easier keeping track of these in a toolbox. There really isn’t much to these, which means there isn’t a lot to say about them. They appear to be durable and attach solidly to the framing square. Doesn’t really matter to me but a couple of them had some paint blemishes. Definitely makes drawing out the same repetitive angle a lot easier and more exact.
