Grinding pack
Nice kit to try out 3m’s grinding products. I run a small welding shop and have tried alot of different grinding wheels, cutting wheels, sanding wheels etc. I’ve always hated hard rock grinding wheels they have never cut fast enough and always caused alot of vibration and noise. But these 3m cubatron wheels are awesome very fast cutting fairly low noise and almost no harsh vibrations felt back in your hands. So far the longevity of the wheels also seems very good. The 3m scotch Brite wheel works amazing for rust and metal with light mill scale. The bending and finishing disc’s work nicely. I haven’t tried the cut off wheels yet but I’m sure they will work good. I think this is a pretty good value to try out some products that could save you time in the long run

Best Welding Friends Ever
This promo box says right on it how much money youâre saving. It has tons of the latest 3M Cubitron stuff, which is awesome. I tried out the grinding wheel just recently and it works like a champ. The amount of gear youâre getting is a great value.

Incomplete kit
Wouldn’t buy again. The strip disc worth $21 was no better or lasted any longer than cheap $2 strip discs. The grinding wheel works as it should as do the cutting wheels. The biggest disappointment was the sandpaper discs that I cannot use. Don’t have the right proprietary 3m equipment to use them. A whole load of stuff in this box that is unusable.Update: after buying the TN quick change hub, some fiber discs and a special low profile flange nut to use the fiber disc hub this comes with, I am impressed with the products that 3M makes. They remove a boat load of material at a time. Very powerful and the discs spin super smooth. The only problem is replacing them is done 25-50 at a time for several hundred dollars. Too steep for a lowly homeowner like myself.

These actually last much longer longer than the cheap ones
Quality pieces, I bought two even

Great Value for the money, get two
What a diverse set of grinding attachments. Each one has proven better than anything I’ve been using for the past 4 years. And I’ve used quite a few of the name brands too.

If you calculate it out, you’re paying about 5$ CAD per disc… I cant get a grinding wheel at Home Hardware for less than 8$… and that would be Benchmark garbage… Here you are getting 3M quality!! And I do mean quality. If you look after these and don’t get stupid like I did a few times and just jam the wheels into sharp corners; these will last a while. And please, do look after them; I’ve bought this demo kit a few times and the first time I used up my Scotch-brite wheels really fast by just being wayy to hard on them. Be resonable and these will outlast any other product you will ever find at any hardware store. The cubitron cut-off wheels are impressive! They are a bit thicker than I would like for a cutoff wheel, but they last FOREVER!! I got maybe 10 wheels worth of use out of each cubitron cutoff!!!And the purple sanding pads or whatever they are called, those things just keep going and going and going!!!If your afraid to spend 70-80$ up front on this, dont be.. It winds up cheaper per disc, and each thing they give you in the kit will perform to its maximum… It’s cheaper for me to keep buying this demo box each time I need abrasives, then it is to do it any other way..Bottom line: These 3M abrasives are top-tier quality, if you’ve never used such things before you will be impressed and you will never want to go back to inferior hardware-store junk ever again!Just look after them, I can’t stress that enough. Be mindful of sharp edges, and be aware of what your doing because you can prematurely damage them like I did by being too rammy. But used normally as they are inteded, they willlast a long time!!Wear your saftey glasses, and please don’t touch hot metal right after you just welded a long bead, becasue you werent thinking and took off your welding gloves and then touched the weldment!!just saying…Good luck with your metal work!!!!
