A Magnifier That Does Exactly What It Is Advertised To Do
This type of Magnifier is often called a linen magnifier because it was originally designed for counting the threads in fabric, (Think of your 300 count bed sheets). It’s use for examining flat objects such as stamps is exceptional. The depth of focus is optimized by the stand height and is not intended for looking at objects that do no fit under the base although it is possible to look at coins successfully. The magnification of this unit matches that of other 30X magnifiers I work with and the LED lighting is outstanding. The fact that it is rechargeable is a big game changer from the other units out there that require up to 4 odd sized “button” batteries.Contrary to what some reviewers have written, the second set of LED’s is not for a dim view but rather is UV “Blacklight” illumination. For those who have a use for this type of lighting I have found that it matches the frequency of a “Standard” Long Wave (365nm) black light. It illuminated phosphorescent tags on both currency and stamps. It will not trigger or “excite” phosphorescent tags or stripes that require being illuminated with Short Wavelength U/V (245nm) lights which is to be expected, and is also good as Short Wavelength UV lighting which is also used in disinfecting equipment must not be viewed or pointed towards eyes. When used for what it is designed for this is an excellent magnifying glass. The magnification matches the specs, and the USB charging make this unit a real winner. If you try and use this unit as a substitute for a hand held magnifier you will be disappointed, because that is not what it is designed for.

Glad I have 2
I’ve bought 2 of these. They are so handy when trading for gold jewelry or inspecting coins. Well worth the money. Great quality, viewing clarity is top notch.

Magnifying for coins
I bought this to use on my coins. Makes it easier to see the small writing on coins without straining my eyes.

Inexpensive
It’s an inexpensive tool for my purposes of identifying coins left to me by a family member and research values before going to a coin shop.

Buy this, it works perfectly and easily
I wanted to get a loupe for testing Magic the Gathering cards for another way to confirm real vs fake/counterfeit, using the green dot with 4 red dot L shape method. I bought 2 other low-cost loupes on here, and both were garbage. They didnt focus, it was extremely difficult to get one of them to even partially work, and it was a royal pain. I immediately started a return/refund. But I needed a loupe and contemplated buying one of the $35 Bellomo’s or another high-cost, high-magnification, or even an actual microscope. But I gave this a try since it looked simple and effective. Yep. Turn on the light, put the card under it, and look at the dot. It was that easy. No focusing, no moving it around, no squinting. And I havent even utilized the USB part yet, but being able to recharge the lights will probably be a great benefit. This is a no-brainer buy. The people on Reddit telling you what kind to buy, no, just get this, take it from someone who has been involved with sports and trading cards for their entire life… if you dont own a loupe yet, this is the one to get.
