    Pretty solid
The leverage is a bit backward, kind of like squeezing the small end of the pliers to close the handles. Not to say this is a bad product, but don’t expect it to work like a grapple. It will lift decent size logs, but be careful if you’re trying to drag a big tree with them. Picked up a tree top that made the back of the tractor very light on the ground, so definitely strong enough vertically. What’s a bit concerning is the flex when dragging tree trunks – need to be aware of bending if you are trying to “skid” really big trees or logs. All in all, not bad for the price, and seem to be well made.

    Very well made, heavy product.
After using a friend’s set of these Log Tongs I was impressed so I ordered myself a set. Showed up within a couple of days. Packaging was pretty basic with a box within a box. Very little packign material, but no damage. Took a few minutes to assemble. These will be a great asset lifting logs onto my sawmill.

    Nice manual grapple
I have use the tool a little bit since I received it. I find it is built well with rugged welded joints and hardware. I’m trying to figure out how I can manipulate the tool to open the jaws from the tractor seat, as you have to physically open the jaws around whatever you wish to lift. Depending on what you’re working with it can be a bit of a wrestling match to place the tool in the correct position. The grapple works well but very manual. Best to use with someone on the ground and someone on the tractor for efficiency and personal sanity.

    28/32″log tongs
These tongs are not perfectly aligned, but are super strong . Lifted butt cut of pecan tree that I could not begin to move myself. Super!!

    VERY DANGEROUS! COULD KILL SOMEONE!!!!
On first use this suffered a major weld break that could have resulted in a very serious injury if not noticed in time. Beware!!! Seemed well constructed upon original inspection but obviously not.

    moves materials effectively
delivered promptly; works well moving logs and rocks; have been very pleased that I have this unit and used it in a variety of situations; only limitation is that it can be difficult to unclamp from object because teeth lock on and curve below teeth; need to support object to release teeth.

    Great value!
This saved me $2k. Was planning on getting a grapple since I already have a 3rd function valve on my tractor, but it wasn’t necessary. As long as you have a 2nd person to *safely and carefully* open the tongs, one can have pretty good productivity with this. For occasional landowner use this is wonderful. A friend used it with me once and immediately purchased one for himself. Very sturdy and heavy (a good thing). Moved plenty of logs already.
