    Work fairly well
This is a decent set with a few different sizes and shapes that can be used for shaping wood as needed. This set works fairly well. I haven’t had any issues so far. The bits do appear to remove material well, though I am often being intentionally slow and cautious as to not over do it. I don’t know how long these will last, but so far they seem, to retain their cutting properties and still remove material well (haven’t used on particularly hard hardwoods yet). I think with practice, these could be controlled to do some fine detail work, but I don’t have that ability in me – all my work is a bit coarse. YMMV.

    Serves its purpose
These are nice when you just need to file something down or get into an odd hard to reach spot. I used these to file out wood to make a ledge on my DIY birdhouse, It worked really well. These attached to my drill seamlessly and you get a few different shapes that contour to your different needs. I’m really happy with these and I think I’ll find a lot of uses for these as things pop up.

    So much misinformation!
tl;dr – If you need course grade shaping burrs – this is a decent set at a decent price, but you can easily find better sets with a search on site for ‘rotary rasp set’.So, first – as far as the tools themselves go, this is a fair little set of rotary rasp bits. These are the knobby style that are very course and are usable for rough shaping of wood. They have a 1/4″ shank, so a little large for smaller rotary tools but perfect for a larger tool or drill. They are a little pricy at about $2 per bit. Competition in the ‘rasp’ style isn’t wide, but almost all options are cheaper or have better features (hex shanks for example). Really if rough wood work carving is your new jam, I would recommend a rasp set with 1/8″ shanks for use in a smaller, easier to control rotary tool.I have a pet-peeve about misinformation or errors on product pages. Sadly, this is one of the worst product pages I’ve ever seen. The amount of confusing and just down right wrong information on the page is staggering. Even the overall title makes almost no sense. Anyway, here are some highlights:They are not ‘drill’ bits, nor are they double fluted. a double-fluted rasp would be very odd. These have no polish at all, never mind being highly-polished.They are not precise – their rasps, not burrs or drillsThey certainly don’t have handles that provide anti-slip comfort.I’m not sure how they are supposedly #45 steel, CV (chrome vanadium) and also tungsten steel as those are all very different things. BTW based on looks and performance, I’m pretty sure they are Chinese GB standard 45 carbon steel.Contrary to the in-use pictures – these should not be used as if they are step drill bits. I mean, sure – you could make a hole with the cone rasp.. but no one would.

    Shocked by quality
I build dream backyards for people. A lot of customers want designs for fence caps, the end of railings, planter boxes, and so on. I have the ones that are made for rotary tools, but I’ve been looking for a quality set that I can use both in my cordless drill and my industrial grade rotary tool that’s .5 hp. I’ve been using these on the job site for a little over a week now and I’ve done, about 15 pieces of wood with them so I feel comfortable giving them my stamp of approval. I’m using them on dry lumber not greenwood or branches. They takeoff a ton of material quick and I’m able to do fairly intricate designs like feathers and line work to help bring out the wood. If you have a Dremel type tool with the larger chuck, these will fit perfectly fine. I couldn’t believe how much cheaper they are than the big box stores and with the cost of things right now that matters. I would like to say that I can buy all my stuff from American companies, but I’m not going to pay 30 bucks a bit when they are just shipping them from the same spot them here so they can slap the made in America label on it.

Great kit for every tradesman to have in the tool box!
For any tradesman or contractor that works on a multitude of various projects, there are many times where material needs to be shaved away or dug out to create clearance for a part. In the past I would reach for a drill bit that would help me rout out wood to allow clearance for a screw or fastener to be used. Usually the drill bit is a less than optimal tool for this type of application. A kit like this is a very welcome addition to the tool box and it comes with five different size/shape bits for various shaving/de-burring requirements. This set is a very good value at the listed price of under $10, and will make easy work of these special project requirements; highly recommended.

    High quality
For the price these are, these carbide burrs are surprisingly high quality and cut extremely fast.As with all carbide tools, these do not dull but they can gum up and chip. So far I’ve had some issue with the teeth getting filled but it comes off fairly easily with a wire brush.Other than that these are simply a wonderful product.

    chews through wood
great little set of burrs! I use these when I need to ream wood to fit things and I have never had such a good selection of them, These come oiled, so pretty greasy, but a little clean up and they are much better. Chews through wood easily and soft metal. Never tried on steel, I have no reason too. But overall, the bits do what they should for me and work like a charm!
